Due to the fact that filming wasn't a big thing in the 1930s, to see a full 90 minute match from any clash from the 30s is impossible. Which games would you like to have seen?

I would love to see full footage of the quarters, semis and final from 1954 - I've seen highlights (some extended) from most games but have had no luck in locating full coverage.

As for games from the 30's (other than the finals which should be on anyone's wish lists) -

Italy vs Spain 1934 Second Round. A 1-1 draw (after extra time) mired with controversy and said to be Ricardo Zamora's greatest game.

Brazil vs Poland 1938 First Round. 6-5 aet with Leonadis da Silva hitting four.

Austria 7-5 Switzerland 1954.

Must have been one crazy match.

It would be great to watch indeed but we are only talking about games in the 30s only.

I would also like to watch the second game (there's where the controversy really happened). Neither Zamora nor Langara played that game and Italy had 12 players on the field (ref included).

Leonidas is said to scored one of those goals with his shoes off. The polish attacker Willimoski also scored four goals.

Leonidas played for a while without shoes but the referee told him to put them back on. It was the same referee as the 1934 WC Final, Eklind from Sweden.

Sadly, the picture quality is dodgy. At least there's proof that footage exists.
