It seems that Wenger is still trying to buy this player (Aleksander Hleb), almost like the way he was trying to buy Reyes untill he got him.
Does anyone knows which position does he play in, some sites say playmaker and others say winger!
I am convinced that this player will join Arsenal in the summer so I want to know how good he is, and to imagin how he will fit in the team.
Is he good at dribbling, or at shooting, scoring with his head or he has a vision like Fabregas. does he have a strong body? Is he tall? can he be regular next season?

The comparison to Hleb is usually Nedved (although Hleb's certainly not that good). Nedved used to be a winger (although he's not anymore), something that Hleb has never done. He plays centrally, has a pretty good shot and has good vision. He's probably not the greatest tackler, but is more of a playmaker than a passer. He's not the greatest dribbler I've ever seen, but he has good vision. IIRC, he's of average height/build. He is probably Belarus's best player, and has pulled the strings for Stuttgart for several years.
There have also been rumors that Milan have been after him to replace Rui Costa.

I agree with most of your comparisons of Hleb. He is more of a creative player, uses both feet, plays across the midfield, very pacey and can cross the ball very well as well as taking corners. He does have good vision and is a good passer of the ball, he is also a very good dribbler. I think Wenger is lining him up as an alternative to SWP, i have always been a fan of this kid and if he does come to arsenal he would be more of a creative right winger, with ljunberg shifting to the left or vice versa.

I wonder what "mtkillamanjohno" would have to say about Hleb? ;)

How's he in the CL?
12 million pounds? Is he really worth it?

He also has the tendency to drift in and out of games or take some off completely. Has been known to be a bit vocal with his displeasures and can sometimes be a (for lack of a better word right now) brat. Also, like Reyes, he can sometimes dribble too much instead of opting for the pass.

The thing I remember from the last time I saw him was his workrate was pretty high and he looked quite capable of fitting into Arsenal's passing scheme. He seemed pretty creative and played the playmaker role pretty well even though he was clearly the focus of the opposition defense and got double and triple teamed often. I haven't seen him enough to know how he does over the course of the season (will he keep that workrate up, does he rise to play the big teams and maintain enough consistentcy to get past the newly promoted sides, etc) but nothing I saw would count against him.

He single-handedly destroyed Dortmund,Schalke, and Bremen this season. Kuranyi depends on his creativity and his passes, i dont think he chokes in big games, it's just that the opposition have marked him down as being the main link between the midfield and attack so they end up posting two players on him.

So will he take Edu's place, or Ljungberg place.
I remeber Wenger sayed if Edu leaves he will bring a player to replace him, and I would be happy if it was Hleb, since he seems from all your posts creative and a good shooter.
Viera, Gilberto and Flamini are all defensive minded in the center of the field, Edu and Fabregas were the attacking minded ones, so wenger is right to try and buy him, I dont know If his price is justified but I hope he is better than Lampard since he is more creative and can shoot like him. we lacked this kind of player who can shoot from outside the box.
I hope Winger buy's him and Philips.
