[QUOTE=ugly_hooligan_east]he is the son of Agim Cana a former footballer of KF Prishtina of the '80 (most of the players were of albanian nationality) who competed in the first ligue of former Yugoslavia and who many times beat the shiit out of Zvezda (Red Star) in the middle of ********ing marakana and Partizan in JNA[QUOTE]

Then how come as you so rightfully put it, they've never won the title? C'est tous monde.

....we never had a chance....the team being 90% albanian(I'm talking about KF Prishtina of course) we were always an underdog....there were cases when we had the game lost before even entering the pitch from referees(I'll leave you to fill the blanks why)....and you want to leave the politics out of it....back then everything was politics....and yeah Zvezda did win the European Cup but then again so did Steaua Bucharest or if I'm not mistaken Rems(not Rennes) from France who aren't even in the first league anymore, but what has Zvezda done lately or in 15 years....they can't even win the title in the less than mediocre Serbian league...hey at least Partizan made the champions league few years back and held their own against Real Madrid....and almost made it this year to(lost on penalties to Slovakian champion)...and they did play the faboulous Real Madrid of the '60,who won 6 straight European Cups, in '66 if Im not mistaken in the final of European Cup, they lost of course. Not that Im a Partizan fan or something...

Yes but that was the golden generation... Just imagine if we kept together... Such a dream team I wouldn't know where to start, but I guess it's in the Balkan nature... Oh well... Jugovic, Mihaljovic, Boban, Suker, Mijatovic, Savicevic, Prosinecki.. The list goes on and on. Plus don't forget the historic win in 1991 over Bayern Munchen. I don't think politics was involved in that. And look at the final against Olympique Marseille. Look what they did a year later.... Plus the army and politics were always with Partizan Belgrade without question. Even today the army supports Partizan, I think you know that. It still hasn't changed... That's why I love the derby so much....

Plus don't forget our 3-2 win over PSV Eindhoven last year at the Marakana. Oooh... And us beating Partizan Belgarde when they had Mattheus as their coach 3-0. And beating Chievo only to lose to a great Lazio side in the Uefa Cup. Plus we're through to the first round of the Uefa Cup this year and I think we'll get to the final 32. But that is genuine Partizan that you mention. Win domestically but lose the derby to us then go to europe and ************ it up as usual. We were always the better side in Europe, without question. They did make the 1966 final against Madrid but so did we in the Uefa Cup in 1979, thus after that final nothing else is of importance. Plus RSB is the richest club in the former Yugoslavia that goes without a doubt, when Partizan was supported by the army...

...the derby was always back and forth....and eventhough as an albanian I always watched it just because of the love of football...and yeah they did have a good team back in the 90/91 season, and yeah I watched and remembered every game.....but we did beat them in Marakana just a couple of years back from that year, before the collapse of Yugoslavia....you can check the history of the league if you want...and at one point we did beat every big team of the former Yugoslavia...from Dinamo, Hajduk to Zvezda and Partizan....and Zvezda was always favoured before Partizan eventhough Partizan was armys team. And the reason being because Zvezda was alwyas held as symbol of Serbian nationalism,it was a "Sumadija" team and was never permited to have any albanian or bosnian players....as for Partizan they had a multi-ethnic players...even albanian players like Fadil Vokrri (considered at one point as the best prospect in former Yugoslavia and Europe and was set to go to Juventus but couldn't because he didn' finish his army duties) and Shala who started his career in Partizan, came back to Prishtina to continue in DInamo Zagreb and played alongside Boban, Suker....

Take your slavic bitchings out of this thread now.

I couldn't give a toss, and nor could those who follow PSG.

Move it, now....

Both of you.

Or talk about PSG.

Your choice.

No I understand their point... It's just that this is no place to talk about that sort of news and argue... Plus it's the PSG thread thus I agree with Ganu that we should talk about PSG. So what do you make of Cana? I heard he is good, but on what level "good"?

So hooligan you obviously know a lot about Cana. What do you make of him?

....I only came accross him 3-4 years ago, maybe more when he wasn't even in the second team of PSG....I noticed because not to many players or to say none come from that area and that are in a prestigeous, well-known team like PSG and of course because of his name....I've seen him play a couple of times (I was at the stadium when Albania beat Greece and he played, he almost scored a goal...took the ball from the half of the field and ran all the way to the 16 meter box)...he is not very technical, but he is very strong, runs a lot and covers a big part of the field...I think him being only 22 is his strongest asset because with the talent he has now and with experience he will gain in the future he could become one of the top midfilders in europe....thats why I say PSG made a mistake by leting him go because he is not at his full potential...right now he is still raw as far as talentwise...but that's just my opinion....

PSG target Gravesen

I think this is an excellent move. I don't see why Gravesen wouldn't want to leave RMCF, he isn't getting any playing time there.

I don't expect any major moves for PSG during the Mercato. Actually, I think it's time for us to bring in a few of the younger players from the Academy. Frank Dja Djedje immediately comes to mind. It's time he cut his teeth up front with "Paulogol". I'd also like to see Carlos Bueno and Crisiian Rodriguez get more playing time. This is a good team and there's no need for drastic changes. The problem is maintaining good consistent form. Note the changes in the midfield are taking a bit longer than I'd like but this is a good side. We may need to change the way we attack so we can benefit from both PauloGol and Kalou's strengths, otherwise this is one of the few times I can recall where I think changing PSG's make up during the Hiver Mercato might cause more harm than good.

Rodriguez is always available on the bench. He might be a good match for Rothen...
