I cant figure out why they want Briand so badly. Why do they want him instead of Klasnic for example
Briand young enough to give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to his play last season which I think was just a lousy year. He's actually pushing harder for the move @ this point more than PSG. It's one of the few things right now that I think PSG has done right these days, although I wouldn't pay more than 10 Million for him.

- According to FF and Lequipe, Sessegnon will sign a four-year contract with PSG tomorrow. Finally...Since this is also reported on MUC72 official website, we can consider it as official. The transfer fee is about 9 million Euros.
He is a 24 years old beninese international player. He is a versatile midfielder. He can play behind one or two forwards or on the right side. According to Sessegnon himself, LG wants to field him behind two forwards. It's been 2 years that he plays in L1 with Le Mans and he is highly rated. A bright future awaits him, but he'll have to confirm that at PSG.
PSG biggest weakness was our midfield. Rothen was the only offensive threat. Sessegnon will make our midfield more creative and it's good to see someone else with good offensive abilities.
- By the way, Briand is back on training.
Edit : I'm too slow.:p

France Football is reporting that Roma has released Giuly and it looks as though he will sign with PSG. Nothing's been signed yet.

I heard that PSG may be preparing a €14 Million bid for Zaragoza's striker Ricardo Oliveria. Given the money involved it seems unlikely to me though.

Rennes have officially signed Asamoah Gyan. I guess that means Briand will leave ?

They want to associate Briand and Gyan Asamoah.
By the way, Sessegnon passed the medical. He is officially at PSG.

I don't think Briand is going anywhere anytime soon.
It seems as though Thuram will be PSG regardless of the final test results. If he's unable to play then according to L'Express, he will be named as a Presidential Advisor. Hopefully he'll be able to play, either way I think it's win-win for everyone.

That's very interesting. I think Roma is awaiting to see what young Italian we've never heard of that they can sign before letting Giuly leave.
I hope

Maybe I'm wrong about Briand. I just read in L'Equipe this morning that Rennes is studying an offer from PSG for both Briand and Wiltord. Apparently, Wiltord has some serious issues with Guy Lacombe and it's come to a head. Seems as though Lacombe still rubs some players in a very special way.

Giuly at PSG.:) It's been a long time since I haven't so happy to see a player signing at PSG. Le Guen seemed really happy during the press conference. He said that "Giuly can bring what we expect : explosivity, experience and quickness". He added that "Giuly was used on different positions during the past seasons, behind a forward and right winger at Monaco or as outside right forward at Barcelona".
A midfield composed of Giuly, Rothen, and Sessegnon that's great. Honestly, Villeneuve did more than a decent job until now. The first 2 players who joined PSG during the CV era are all better than Cayzac signings within 2 years. It would be good if PSG could sign Makelele + 1 forward + 1 centre back + 1 right back. If so, PSG would have an amazing starting 11.
PS : Estelle Denis is happy today. :D:p

Expect both Jimmy Briand and Sylvain Wiltord to arrive by the end of this week. We'll lose Larrys Mabiala as part of the deal but Rennes wants 10 Million Euros for both players and they want this resolved fast - Intertoto qualifying match - they won Saturday night but Wiltord didn't play, not sure if he dressed.

PSG and Barca are in the running to sign him from Arsenal.
I'm enjoying this mercato for a change.

Gallas is French and PSG is French so choosing them should be a no brainer. :) French players need to show some loyalty to their homeland instead of just chasing the dollar. It be so great if a French player chose to leave Arsenal for a French team. I'm sure all of us here would love that.

Giuly would be a great purchase but we need him at Roma!
If we get Malouda, then I think Isabella will let Giuly go.
