Camara has made his move official by signing a 4-year.
So as one player arrives, yet another one looks set to depart. Nice have had a 1million euro bid for left-back Boukary Drame accepted, however the player has yet to agree to a swith to the stade du ray.

Strange, because I thought there was a €2.5m release clause in his contract. If that's true the ball should be in Jeje's court at this time.
So he is flattered by our interest, huh.
nah the release clause has to be invoked by the player by a certain date, and he apparently has not done that - result: we can value him at whatever price we wish :D
IMO his statement mostly meant that anyone would be flattered by interest from OL, let's be honest, they're a top team in all aspects. personally, i don't think he'll leave given all his efforts to endear himself to the public and emphasize his love for the club. of course there's the prospect of winning, but it's not only consideration out there.
in other news, the club has reached an agreement with Lens for Kalou (1.5 m euros ). if he and lens agree to personal terms, then it should be all set.

Why did PSG sell Kalou for just 1.5 mio €? Did you need the money or what? :-/

He didn't play very well. He appeared lazy on the pitch. He had lapses in concentration. These are all polite ways to explain why the club don't want him anymore.

He earns unjustified wages. Like how much ? 150-200 k€ monthly ?

I'm not certain how much he earns, but SkySports reports he's taken a pay cut to join Lens.

He earned approximately 180.000 euro monthly at PSG, more than Abidal last year !

I think the question now is, who's going to replace Kalou? I think that Frau and Diané are decent, but really, they're not exactly causing nightmares to left backs either.

we've only been seriously linked with castelen so far, and it doesn't look like we'll be pursuing him. additionally, a lot of rhetoric has been focused on keeping the number of players in the club at a reasonable level. given the plethora of midfielders, i'm starting to think that departs are going to dominate the headlines rather than recruits for the rest of the transfer period.

Rothen has extended his contract to 2011

Kalou is already talking crap about the club
"A Paris, j'ai fait deux saisons : une moyenne et une catastrophique, a avoué l'Ivoirien hier midi. Chaque membre du club a sa part de responsabilité. Mais si moi j'ai assumé la mienne, ça n'a pas été le cas de tout le monde."
"Lens possède les meilleures installations du championnat de France. Il n'y pas de comparaison possible avec celles du PSG."

I kind of thought this was going to be the way things were going to work. We've already cut the payroll quite a bit with kalou leaving.

It's no secret that Kalou was overpaid.
As to his comments about the Camp des Loges, again, it's no secret that it's among the worst in the league. The good news is that the new investors have pledged, and are committed to not only upgrade the facilities by the end of the summer, but also to push negotiations to expand the training camp.
I think it was Daniel Bravo who once said that he got electrocuted in the showers, that's how bad the situation was

I think that you're right, and I'm happy we're not pursuing Castelen. He wouldn't provide more than Frau/Diané on the flank. The one guy I would, however, like us to go after at some point is Issiar Dia of Nancy. The Bleuet has awesome speed/dribbling, and he wants to join us because we're his hometown team, as he had been born in the suburb of Sèvres, as well as his idol being George Weah. I would actually say it wouldn't be a bad idea to go after him now, since he'd cost more as he gains more experience from L1 matches.

During the friendlies PSG plays with PAF or Loris Arnaud on the right side.
Loris Arnaud was very interesting. He is young, fast and is technically talented
Why do we search somewhere else what we have under our eyes ?

Drame has signed with Sochaux (we'll see him on the season opener lol) and Haddad for some Israeli team, which is a shame, he was a promising player a few years ago.
Pancrate is also on the way out. As to Mabiala, he was stricken with some serious illness last season, which is why we saw so little of him, he lost like 40kg during his months on the hospital bed, and has had to build up his physique and catch up to the rest of the youngsters. I guess he still doesn't cut it for the first team.
There's still a month to go, and some rumours are that Rai has found some player. Who knows. I think we will see Pancrate and Bueno leave by the end of August, and have at least one player join us.
