I wouldn't mind him in the team.

Put he would push Armand to the bench, or even JR!

We should have signed him last year.... A major regret.

Reinaldo leaves Paris SG for Japan (http://edition.cnn.com/2005/SPORT/football/06/20/france.reinaldo/)

Brazilian striker Reinaldo is heading for Japan from Paris SG

PARIS, France -- Paris Saint Germain's Brazilian striker Reinaldo has signed for Japanese outfit Hitachi Kashima Reysol, the French club confirmed on Monday.

"Reinaldo is leaving the French first division for the Japanese championship. PSG's Brazilian has signed for Hitachi Kashima Reysol," the club said without revealing details of the contract.

Reinaldo, 26, joined PSG in 2002 before being loaned out to Brazilian first division side Sao Paulo.

He returned to the French capital in 2003 only to be placed on the transfer list before finding his way back into the team under former PSG coach Vahid Hallilodzic.

Last season he scored three goals in 32 matches, as PSG, the 2003-2004 league runners-up, finished just ninth.

Monaco face a fight to keep Emmanuel Adebayor (http://www.itv-football.co.uk/Teams/Arsenal/story_155591.shtml) after the striker claimed both Arsenal and Toulouse made "firm offers" for his services.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has expressed a desire to sign a striker to play as a target man and lanky Togo international Adebayor fits the bill.

Adebayor is a tall, highly-rated striker

"Monaco received two firm offers in the recent weeks," The 21-year-old told France Football magazine. "One from Toulouse and another from Arsenal - but at the moment Monaco are not pursuing it."

Adebayor admits he would find it difficult to refuse the chance to move to Highbury while he says PSG are the other side with a realistic chance of prising him away from Monaco.

He added: "I think the two most tempting clubs to hire me are PSG and Arsenal...

PSG close to Dhorasoo deal
http://www.channel4.com/sport/french_football/jun30d.html

You know what's messed up about this move is not that PSG is landing Dhorasoo, but that they are making a HUGE deal about him....like he is Henry, Ronaldinho, or Shevchenko.

Boy, does PSG have their sights set quite low.

It is a big signing for a French team. He is a very solid player with national team experiance. So ,he didn't get playing time at Milan? Niether did Papin, Dugarry or Rivaldo and so on. It doesn't mean he won't be one of the best mid fielders in France next year if he signs, I think he will be.

Anderlecht wants to rescue Branko Boskovic from PSG shadow? (http://www.jadransport.org/articles/994.html)
28.06.2005
by Damir Jovanovic

The officials of Belgium league Runner Up Anderlecht have allegedly (if we are going to trust media in Serbia and Montenegro) made an approach to the management of Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in order to negotiate a possible transfer of talented Serbian defensive midfielder/left flank winger Branko Boskovic (Branko Bošković) to Brussels...

Is Branko on his way out if Vikash is on his way in?

I hope you both are right (CTREVS + iougs). If he puts up, instead of disappearing....then maybe PSG can turn their ship of Mediocrity around. We will just have to wait and see.

Dhorasso is the man Catfish, as a player he's exactly what PSG needs, it's his mentality off the field that puts some people off. Either way, Rothen, Mendy and Dhorasso would give us a hell of a midfield, surely top 3 material in Ligue 1.

Good call, I forgot to mention him.

Whoops, I made a spelling error for Dhorasoo in previous post.

Another departure. And one which we I am hardly shedding tars over. Reinaldo has left the club after a somewhat placid spell in PSG colours. During his time, he hardly got going and looked sometimes like he was trying in vain to win “The miss of the season award”

Surprisingly, rather than go back to Brazil - he has followed suit like most washed up Brazilians and has joined Kashiwa Reysol. (NOT Kashima, as it says on the PSG website, Kashima Antlers are top of the league iirc)

I quite like the J-League. I mean , just look at their mascot.

http://www.j-league.or.jp/club/kashiwa/images/teamlogo.gif

Still, it’s a damn sight better than that Mr Turf or whatever that thing is called. Crazy Japanese…

So here’s hoping he can make an impact. Kashiwa are currently second from bottom at the half way stage of the season, and looking like they are going to be relegated. So in my rather, awful, awful Japanese voice…

元気でね, Rei. ;)

Dhorasoo will sign for 2 years. Woo-hoo!

Pablo Zabaleta from San Lorenzo is also attracting PSG.

I would like to see Javier Mascherano or Jeremy Toulalan to replace M’Bami ideally…

Oh well.

WTF is going on at PSG? I didn't see any of this coming, especially since the mentality seems to be to spend only when the champions league is upon us. Either way, it's a good time to be a PSG supporter.
