perhaps bourillon or digard can fill into the right?
I doubt it. I believe Camara though, has played on the right, albeit briefly.

Kalou close to Lens move (http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=477776&CPID=24&clid=142&lid=11&title=Lens+close+on+Kalou+capture&channel=&)
Quite happy for Kalou to leave. If we get rid of him and Mendy and bring in a decent right-back it would be a fantastic summer.

Latest rumor is of Celtic making a bid of around 2-3million euros for Mendy.
Unlikely to come true as I doubt anyone would pay 2-3mill for Mendy, but still encouraging to see that PLG doesn't want him at the club next season.
If Mendy did leave, as well as Kalou going and Cisse's departure, I'd have real hope for next season.

i hope Mendy moves on for PSG's sake, but what about from Celtic's perspective? 2mil for a full French international seems a pretty good bargain to us.
if he doesn't cause any trouble in the dressing room, could he do us a could turn at full-back?

Mendy is not the type of player to stir trouble in the locker room, his head gets in the clouds from time to time and needs to get brought down to earth, but I don't remember him ever being in a spat with another player.
I think he could do pretty well in Scotland, and to have a team offer 2 million euros for a player like him is a very good deal for us. Keep in mind he has been with the French team just once in a friendly, and he had just one good moment in the whole game, and I feel like Nanard still fantasizes about it.
I only hope there's somebody lined up to replace him
The other deal is Kalou. I remember Lens' president laughing about the rumours, and now Guy Roux' comments go against him. Who knows, I think that like so many former AJA players, they only thrive under Guy's orders, so I think Kalou can have a good time up north.
If only we could dispose of Pancrate and Bueno, this summer become a success.

I think it's interesting how PSG supporters have been saying all along, if we can get rid of "trash" like Cissé, this summer can be a success. Well, really, I think that you've done quite a good job at that, considering how Cissé, Rozenhal and Hellebuyck are no longer on the roster. Not only that, you actually got good amounts of money in those deals. I mean, all I'm saying is I think that you've had a good offseason already, and it's not that realistic to expect to be able to get rid of all your trash, although then again, I didn't expect any team to be interested in Cissé, so who knows. ;)

Our manager really likes the player and wants to sign him, so it's more than just a speculation.

rumours are that Kalou's transfer to Lens is practically done, for the sum of 1.5 million euros. What a ripoff, especially since we're selling him to Guy Roux, this was our chance to stick it up his fat ass for selling us that lemon. meh, I just hope Kalou doesn't end up scoring against us like so many other ex PSG players do

and Camara's transfer is pretty much done, but for 6 million euros! Really? Is he worth that much? Can't Cayzac negotiate anything?

PSG and ASSE have reached an 'Agreement in principle relating to Zoumana Camara'. The player is to have a medical on Tuesday before putting pen to paper on a 4-year deal.

:/
unless sammy traore is on his way out (rumors state that wigan athletic might be interested, but probably for not much) then this just seems like an overload. sometimes it might pay off and make some people work harder, but there's already enough pressure here to make anyone crack. i'd hate for the youngsters to suddenly find their careers and development stunted.
now that mendy might be on the way out, why aren't we being linked with a right sided defender. mulumbu is ok there, maybe PLG will look to give him more experience at that post with both chantome and clement doing fairly well in midfield. still, that means we don't have a decent backup.

What about Mabiala at RB? I haven't seen him play, but looking at the roster he's the only defender who's not exclusively a CB.

well, rb can be one of his positions. the problem is that he was only selected to play two times last season :D granted I don't remember his performances too well, but mulumbu became the principal rival for the post during the season and even started over bernard.

Yeah but I thought PLG eventually decided to end his bizarre experiment and drop Mulumbu to the bench after that 3-1 win against Toulouse, in which he had hard time holding up against Mansare and got run all over. Afterwards Mendy took over from him till the end of the season.
I think you guys need to buy a right back, a very good one. Mulumbu should be the backup.

I have to agree that I think right back is our biggest concern, since even though Mendy is about to leave, we don't exactly have anyone who is ready to fill his shoes. Mulumbu can play there, though it is not his strength. Maibala, I don't think too highly of, he'll get eaten alive by a Ben Arfa or Ménez. I think part of the idea of signing Camara is that he can be a right back. It is definitely not his position of choice, though given how badly he wanted to come here, I have no doubt he'll be capable of doing the job. After all, last season he had been one of the better overall defenders in all of France.
I expect our back line eventually could be this:
Armand Yepes Digard (Bourillon if Digard will be lined up in midfield) Camara
This I believe would be one of the best backlines in France (except OL, obviously, which have by far the best), since Camara is strong defensively (as opposed to offensively), which is good since it appears we don't have a good right-sided winger/attacking midfielder. We'll be attacking more down the left anyway, so defense should be stressed on the right side.
Right back is quite a problem in all of L1 (except OL, who have 2). Given that I'm not high on Maibala, I think the best thing to do could be to take an U-x right back from another team to develop, or try a bit harder to attract one from the surrounding area. Like Garry Bocaly, who we missed out on, I believe.

of course, we need to bring in someone who specializes there. regardless of whether or not mulumbu becomes starter, we're desperately thin of players who can even operate there, though with Camara in, apparently this has been remedied... somewhat.
mm... mulumbu was fairly decent there against a number of teams, although his inexperience inevitably hurts him. mendy, however, has the benefit of experience and still hurts the team!
concerning rothen:
"Il me reste un an de contrat au PSG. Dans ce genre de situation, tout peut arriver. Je peux rester, partir ou prolonger. Est-ce que Lyon m’intéresse ? Comme l’a dit récemment Sylvain Armand, intéresser Lyon, c’est flatteur pour un joueur",
eh, i'm not sure Cayzac will even discuss the situation with either Aulas or Jerome unless an exorbitant offer comes in.

Strange, because I thought there was a €2.5m release clause in his contract. If that's true the ball should be in Jeje's court at this time.
So he is flattered by our interest, huh.
