Looks like Le Guen is after Vikash. PSG are still in the hunt for Milan Baros as are AS Monaco. A Pauleta-Baros attack wouldnt be that bad.
How would Monaco be able to sign Baros and keep Koller?
Thank you for shopping at PSG, Le Gaffer.

UEFA Cup hopefuls trade places (http://www.uefa.com/footballeurope/news/Kind=2/newsId=433485.html)
Saturday, 1 July 2006
French UEFA Cup contenders Paris Saint-Germain FC and AS Saint-Etienne have agreed a player swap deal that sees David Hellebuyck switch to the capital club with Christophe Landrin moving in the opposite direction.
The 27-year-old Hellebuyck ends a five-year association with Saint-Etienne, having been a product of the Olympique Lyonnais youth academy. A predominantly attacking midfielder, he has scored 14 league goals in the last four seasons and had 12 months remaining on his contract.
Landrin also had a year to run on his deal at PSG, and leaves after just one campaign at the Parc des Princes in which he made 26 league appearances and scored twice. The right-sided midfielder turned 29 on Friday, and made his name during nine seasons with LOSC Lille Métropole.

Seems like a trade with no real gains...anybody know this Hellebuyck and, most importantly, anybody see how he'll make an impact?

Hellebuyck : « Paris, un rêve de gosse »
http://www.planetepsg.com/?page=news&id=4925
he plays on the left as an attacking mid, but can also play in the center. Christian Rodriguez must be stomping his little feet right now lol. Not bad, don't know why exactly we got him, cause we need a real mf enforcer, and perhaps better quality cover for pauleta (although many seem to think that diane will explode next season).
that makes: Landreau, Diane, Traore, Hellebuyck
bye bye landrin :)

He is a possible playmaker, and I figure he will be there for Dhorasoo...

Hellebuyck can be a real match for Rothen on the left side of midfield and I think you guys will profit from this exchange.
Besides Landrin has done nothing since his arrival anyways, so what's there to lose? Don't you think?

it'll give him good motivation - he'll need to play his best consistently to keep his starting position. I'm just a little dissapointed that we haven't looked to strengthen other areas where we are clearly lacking beforehand. More attacking options are great, but without a solid midfield base, the team will get nowhere. (cisse & mbami? please...)

Milan Baros? Yikes. He's been painfully hot and cold in the EPL.

Baros isnt likely because he turned down French teams last year so why would he wanna play in France this year. That being said he's still a better option than Illan in my opinion.

Also they have competition from Bordeaux for Illan's services.

I like Sammy Traore should be a good player for us. If Lacombe can motivate Hellebuyck he should do well. We need to sign Ilan though. I think he will come, because of the manager in charge and his Sochaux connections.

Di Vaio didn't have much success with Monaco, but the year before he did very well with Valencia. He seemed to be the odd man out after Ranieri was sacked by Valencia, but he should have kept his starting spot given the goals he was scoring (and since Mista wasn't getting a run either). He does well with other strikers so it would be nice to see him and Pauletta up front. Take care.

Indeed, he has signed for four seasons
http://infopsg.com/actualites-2314-baning_aarau_signe_psg.html

http://infopsg.com/actualites-2315-rai_retour_psg.html
former psg captain and club legend, Rai, has decided to rejoin PSG, this time as psg's official ambassador to south america.
One has the new president, Alain Cayzac, to thank for this new appointment:

nobody's seen him play before (on forums and such), but a lot of clubs have been following him for a while, psg and lyon included. As the article states, it's a signing for the future rather than the season to come. There will most likely be more signings in the midfield.

Pierre-Alain Frau is set to become the club's next signing.
http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/20060711_192442_01.html

i'm not going to pretend that i'm blown away by the transfers, but it's been a very measured set of transactions. Cayzac and Lacombe both have confidence that the philosophy they're operating on will pay off. A lot of these transfers are promising, although they don't bring with them the expectation of instant rewards (w/ the exception of landreau and sammy)
We were, however, promised a "grand attaquant"... so promise broken already?
