That win puts Rosenborg in second place in group B. 1 point behind Chelsea and 3 points up on Schlake 04 after 4 matches.

Well after a 3 - 1 loss to Schalke, Lars Hirchsfield and Rosenborg fail to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champion's League.

But will advance to the final 32 in the UEFA Cup after finishing 3rd in Group B.

Rosenborg want to buy Norwegian International GK Rune Jarstein. He has accepted his personal terms with the club , but his former club ODD Grenland has turned down Rosenborg`s offer of 9 mill NOK about 1,1 Mill Euros.

I think it's a little early to say it won't happen. The facts are that Rosenborg offered NOK 9 million (a record transfer sum for a 'keeper in Tippeligaen) and Odd turned it down flat. Since then there has been no news other than a statement from Jarstein that he is unhappy with the Odd management, and will leave as a Bosman after next season if they do not sell him now. He wants to keep his place on the NT and knows that is unlikely if he plays for Odd in the 1st division.
Hirshfeld also has one year left on his contract with Rosenborg, and it's likely the Trondheim team will try to sell him if they get Jarstein. They have previous experience with having two no.1 keepers in the club, and they have not been happy experiences.
The catch is at the Norwegian transfer window lasts until the end of March, so if negotiations with Odd go beyond Jan. 31st they may have no option but to keep both until the summer. Lars has played well in the CL this fall, and I imagine that his value is about as high as it has ever been, so Rosenborg may be motivated to sort this out in January. I don't think a final answer on this will come until mid-January.

Ifi had to guess i think Hirschfield will leav Rosenborg for free after next season and Jarstein will then come to Rosenborg for free from Odd

Not that i know, personaly i think he wants to go home to Canada. But i have no info inn that regard just what i think.

Really? He'd have to take a pay cut to do that, and MLS is no better than Norway Tippiligaen(sic?)

Rune Jarstein (GK) has just signed for Rosenborg . They payed around 11 Mill NOK , about 1,3 Mill Euros.

Hirschfields girl is studieing inn Canada and dont want to move, so with the Jarstein sigening Hirschfield is expekted to move back to the MLS.
Just wondering if the MLS signes Hirschfield what kinda compensation do you think Rosenborg will get ?

Lars could be going to Rumanian club CFR Cluj. They have already got the former teammate from Rosenborg Dorsin and are interested in Lars Hirschfeld.

he should have come back to Canada with TFC. Now he is in the middle of
no where, soccer wise. But good luck to him.
