Hi: I'm a physical therapist. Having worked in soccer for many years, I am interested in the incidence of ALS in highly skilled athletes. I refer to an Italian study that was mentioned in TIME magazine, 3/14/05: “Professional soccer players have a sixfold greater risk of developing Lou Gehrig's disease.” Have you observed any indications of this? I don't think research is addressing this possible connectiion. Thanks.
