There's a load of transfer rumours going on, and especially with a truckload of Dutch league players moving to either England or Spain, and probably a whole bunch of French and Scandinavians doing the same thing, I'm wondering if you people are at all capable of predicting who will be Big Next Season.

My vote goes to young Mr. Kromkamp.

It will depend on where he ends up.

Zlatan - Broke into the serie A pretty well. Should be a phenom next year. Must work on his finishing though. It was awful this year. And he must learn to get rid of the ball sooner, which he has gotten much better at. If he can put these pieces together, might be able to be one of the top scorers in Europe.

He also seems very durable...rarely injured. That is huge in this sport.

Gilardino - hopefully moves to a bigger club where he can score some more and be noticed a little better.

Mutu - back in the Serie A where he shined. Has the potential to really be a force. Hopefully, for Juve's sake, he can be. It'd be nice to see him on the form that he was 2 years ago.

Gerrard is great at Liverpool but next season he will join Real Madrid and will get the plaudits he deserves.

What a player.

What I'm missing here is the input from people from smaller leagues, i.e. the Scandinavians, Eastern Europeans and Belgians. Who do you know is being sold off to a bigger league, and who do you expect to do well?

Ibrahimovic will be one of the top goalscorers in Europe when he plays in the old-timer's league against arthritic keepers. All the genius he has for the improbable does not compensate for his absolute lack of any killer instinct in front of an open goal and a defenceless keeper. Plus Capello has little patience with players of his kind (starlets, he used to call them when he coached madrid). If Trezeguet remains fit, look for either Mutu or even hard-working Zalayeta to take the other spot.

I'd look out for Robinho and Joaquin if he gets transferred to a CL club.
