Heh .... just read a few online reports that said Beckham was the only one worth his salt. And now I'm reading posts on how crap he was.

Wish I could've seen it. Several reports said Owens looked onsides for at least one of his goals. Any conclusive replay angles?

What you need to understand is that no matter how he plays the press will always big him up. He was crap, if he'd played well, i'd have siad so i'm not anti-Beckham but he was awful last night, he scored a good goal but cost us two it was a poor first touch and him losing the ball that led to their first and it was he who played a nightmare of a ball to Gerrard for the 2nd. As i said before, his passing was crap, his crossing was crap, and if he's captain where was he when the players needed a kick up the arse?

Seaman won't be in goal for Euro 2004 so why is he playing now? Give another keeper a taste of competitive international football.

Only one that I noticed. He had a break away in the first half that looked like it was probably a good call. The shot didn't clear the GK in any case.

Thats cos he heard the whistle. Owen would have either waited for the keeper to go down or gone round him, Owen always does that. He had another bad call in the 2nd half when he was onside.

they should have stayed in Southampton - it'd be cheaper there :)

What's with the English players refusing to shake hands after the game? Pretty classless.

About as classless as the relentless play acting by the Macedonians. If it only took place in the last 10 minutes or so it wouldn't have been so bad, but the they were doing it all through the match.

Hey - we had to watch certain TV stations proclaiming the "death of Scottish football" after a terrible performance in a 2-2 draw with a minnow nation who only started playing ten years ago.

England do almost exactly the same a month later. I haven't seen anyone saying that English football is dead!
