I watched the game at the pub on Friday and was inspired to write a scathing review yesterday. You may have noticed it did'nt appear, I decided to let my anger subdue and await the results of the Derby/ Reading games.
I am in shock we are still in the driving seat for 6th ahead of Reading, how lucky is Pardew?

Here is my mini review, titled, The way I saw things.

I except WHU are not what they were, I except we are in a divison we don't belong, so, I excepted the quality of play would not be Premiership level and I was'nt disapointed.
We started stronger, pinning Sunderland into their own half. We can cross the ball very well, in the first five minutes Powell, Ethers and Newton all cut the SFC defence wide open from wide with very dangerous balls. Great I was thinking, if they can keep doing this someone HAS to get on the end of one of them. How wrong can one be? Bobby Z. and Harewoods positioning is beyond disgraceful, for the next 39 minutes the two of them seemed to be playing in one body, moving together, going for the same balls and dragging three defenders with them, so instead of shots all we got were four or five bodys tangled on the ground. Goalkeepers ball!
Then Harewood scored with his feet, everythings fine, UP THE HAMMERS!!!!!!!!! So what if Harewood can't head, we are winning, the preassure payed off.
Second half, the torture half.
Pardew obviously figures we have to start playin down the middle, to Harewoods feet, no doubt, it all goes tits-up from here on out. The crosses stop, Harewood and BZ run around like Kittens on catnip, with no disernable direction what so ever. I think Mullins got his first touch about the 67th minute (worst Hammer of the year) , we had already alowed an equalizer.
Ethers off, then Newton, no width, we did'nt touch the ball again.
1-2 Sunderland.

We don't deserve to go up, Pardew is useless and probably at the top of his game. Brown is a parasite of the worst kind.

With all that said however we might just sneek it. Pardew is a lucky little shite, and I will be cheering them on all the way. Aint it grand being a hammer?

P.S. Stomper, you'll love this. 20 minutes into the first half a couple of guys come into the bar, one a WH fan (I thought I was the onlyone down here) we get to talking and he's Elvis Costello's roadie. EC was playing Jazz-fest on Saturday and I told him I was probably going down to see him. He then goes on to tell me Elvis and another roadie are stopping by in about 20 minutes, I laughed, not knowing if he was serious. Sure as I'm writing this 5 mins. into the second half they walk in, sit with us and start taking the piss about WHU's position. The guy buys us all a drink and WHU loose. It could have been a great day.

I blame Elvis Costello, its not your fault Claret, you must reconsider your resignation as machday post starter.
