I had this problem in the Raleigh-Durham area. I'm curious if others in RDU or elsewhere nationally saw the same thing last night.

Anybody else on Time Warner with the MLS Direct Kick pacakge?

Did your channels 717 & 718(Team 7 & Team 8) come in last night? For some reason, 719 & 720 (Team 9 & Team 10) both worked fine but 717 & 718 won't authorize on any of my boxes. I called customer service and jumped through all the typical troubleshooting procedures with the CSR. My favorite was when she suggested turning off my TV set (not the cable box) and turning it back on may solve the problem! (don't even ask!)

Then we had a tech at this morning who did all the procedures again himself and concluded that I was right it didn't work.

Luckily, the NE/Chivas game was the one on 717 so I got to see that on FSC but I missed the Rapids/Metrostars game because of their incompetence.

If you're having this problem, PLEASE call TWC and report it. It's obviously a problem in how the package is setup in their system but the CSRs are not smart enough to figure that out. At least my service tech this morning found a supervisor who had heard that this was an issue at more places than just my house. Until then, he was getting ready to replace all three of my cable boxes (don't ask...maybe all three of them went bad in the same instant?)

I've already made the decision to fire TWC, it's just a question of when I pull the trigger (waiting on DirecTV to reveal their new HD roadmap).

Frustrated (yet again by TWC),

Jarrett

TimeWarner Raleigh found their problem. Someone programed the package wrong and those two channels weren't included because the first two weeks, the package only used Team 9 & 10. No one served by this TWC branch saw those other two channels last night :(
