Unless my Tivo had a major breakdown this morning, FSC's telecast of today's German Bundesliga match (Schalke - Leverkusen) was a disaster.
In the 39th minute of play, the picture froze for almost two minutes. Then, they cut to action from the 56th minute. Somebody must have realized that they spliced in the wrong tape, so they ran about ten commercials to cover themselves. Then they picked up where they left off in the 39th minute. WTF?
My viewing of FSC has dropped off considerably since GolTV arrived on my DirecTV system. And although they are not immune from technical glitches, at least they seem to have a back-up plan (Paul Schoen's surprise commentary during the Real Madrid-Barcelona match a few weeks back comes to mind). Today's match will do nothing to change my opinion that GolTV's production is undoubtedly superior to that of FSC.
