Are any of you Cleveland area soccer fans as sick & tired of all the Browns news as I am? Almost wished Wolstein was still around plugging his bloodsucking plan for soccer stadium and franchise. At least maybe there'd be something other than the Browns on the TV sportscasts. Sickening to see the women newscasters swooning on-air over NFL draft choices while the sports guy wastes his 5 minutes on the Browns (IN APRIL), totally neglecting the Vijay/Daly shootout, or to even give the Tribe score. Not that baseball really matters here... compared to (drum roll) the Browns  .
Sick n' tired...

Okay! I hope this is not bad karma or damning me to hell, but I wish Iris had invested the money in renaming the CSU convocation center into bringing the MLS to Cleveland.
Think about it! I am going to fulfill my husband's last dying wish of bringing outdoor soccer to Cleveland, Ohio. She could have spent money to upgrade CSU's soccer stadium (Krenzler Field evening renaming it Wolstein Field). Therefore, CSU and the new Cleveland team (Force, Cobras, Crunch, Crusaders, or whatever) could have shared the stadium with the CSU teams.
Then, the indoor team could leave!

Typical Cleveland irony. The name lives on, as if to mock us, yet no team.

Maybe Kellen Winslow, Jr., could lead our new outdoor team considering his football career is over. I don't know, does soccer require you have good knees and the ability to ride a motorcycle?

That would have been the best option IMHO, but it wasn't to be....
There is always a chance that something could happen still out of the blue, ala Checketts, but I don't know what has happened, if anything since the elder Wolstein died.
