Does anyone here know if Fulham move back into craven cottage in 03/04? Its been 2 seasons and still playing at dinky Loftus Road. And if you have ever tried you can not expand that stadium since you do not own it.

I have played Fullham for a couple seasons and I don't think they move back.

How about Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munchen? Do they get to move into the Allianz Stadium or stay in the Olympiastadion?

Fulham is still playing there RL, so I would imagine they start there in the game. Though you would think they would program an out for a new stadium/refurbished CC if you get the monies.

still playing good old 01.02 with cardiff - why is it so hard to play with regular tactics? i win so easily it's boring with ones i download so i tried to play more standard 442 and 352, and i get slaughtered (to the tune of 6-0...against huddersfield). what's the problem?

Just got appointed Irish manager on top of my Tranmere duties. The team is pretty sh!t now, but there are some great youngsters coming through and 29 year old Joe Murphy (of Tranmere!) is a 'wordclass' keeper.

you can download tactics? where? Im getting blown out every game and I cant figure out whats wrong...

...another thing i dont like is how someone gets injured every game, and it always seems to be midfielders... I barely have enough midfielders to field a team!

Tons of different tactics.

And here is the legendary Diablo Tactic.

I use this same formation, but with very different individual orders. My tactic is admittedly less succesfull, but at least it's mine.:D

Put the tactic into your tactics folder, which is normally in this location: C:\Program Files\Eidos\CM 03-04\user data\tactics

or

C:\Program Files\Eidos\CM 04\user data\tactics

depending on which version you have.

Only got champ a couple of days ago. I went Real Madrid and i'm having a few problems...

On the tactics screen, certain players have arrows pointing in directions, how do i change this?

My players are needing rested every other game, and it is all my decent players, how do i stop them from being so tired all the time?

And my top players, Zizou, Figo etc are valued VERY low, eg Zidane is valued at 4,800,000 and people keep bidding around 5 mil for him, any way to change his value?

1) The arrows are controlled with the "Right-click". Just "right-click" and drag where you want the player to go.

2) It has to do with their stats and work out regimen. Maybe you can look over their training schedule and give the players a day off or two.

3) Madrid sucks. Zidane is old and Figo is clearly a worthless S.O.B. ;)
Really, it's most likely because of their age. Teams aren't going to pay very high prices for players that are nearing the end of their careers. The values are calculated automatically by figuring in all kinds of things like, age, current ability, apparent potential, popularity, and how important they are to their team. For example, Ricardo Quaresma was worth 40m for me. We had a bit of a falling out, so I benched him for an entire season and his value dropped to around 14m. He realized that he was never gonna win, so he asked to be un-transfer listed and stopped hating me. I put him back in the line-up and his value slowly rose back up to around 45m.

Well zidane just won footballer of the year or something, should that not put his value up at all? And thanks for answering man, appreciate it

Don't mention it. The game can be a little overwhelming if you don't know how to use everything. Sorry about Zidane's low value, old players like that are usually more use to you on the pitch than they are in the bank account. I bought Pavel Nedved in another game for about 20m euros. He performed very well for me, but only a year and a half later his value had dropped to 1.5m. I guess no one wants to buy a player if they think he might retire before they can get their money's worth.

Well i've got my team sorted, but my players keep getting injured in training, so i let them rest more and they started to get unfit? Anyone know a good balance?

I just keep them in a basic training regimine, like the ones provided in the game. Over the summer I don't have them train. If someone gets injured, I just let them take the time off they are going to take and then slowly bring them back into the first team. If it is a long injury I let them play on the reserve team once or twice. If the Physio starts saying, "player A is in need of a rest" I give them one game off and then bring them back into the starting lineup. On big Euro teams I usually get 40 games out of a player.

I like to start with a 4-4-2. Then I'll see what kind of players are on the team and give some individual player assignments based on their skills. e.x. If I have a DM I'll put them in the center of a 4-4-2. Then I'll have them play a defensive style. I'll try to pair them with an AM who I play with an attacking mindset. Nothing too complicated.

I've never developed a super tactic that goes undefeated through the season, but I've won most every league and tourney.

You really have to be like a real manager...develop tactics based on what are the strengths and weaknesses of the players in your squad vs. your opponents.

No you shouldn't change formations, tactics every match but adjust to meet the necessary opponents.

I started playing CM4 last night and I am using a second division Polish team and I am having all sorts of problems. Injuries, losses, players not happy, etc. Being new to this game I read through some of this thread I saw some interesting things. However, in simple terms, what are the most important things I need to be be doing for my team as I start this game? Training? Tactics? How do I really get to know my players? There are so many features to this game that it is quite overwhelming at times. I guess I was looking for some simple advice.
Thanks!

Identify the club's biggest weakness (i.e. Funds, Player quality, poor coaches, poor facilities) and start to fix them.

For your training schedules, Add Physio's to them. In Pre-Season ADD ALL PHYSIOS and ALL COACHES.
Look for cheap, but very good and unproven coaches to add to the club they will help the players improve quicker. Check the youth/reserves for good players who deserve a first team chance.

And fine-tune tactics to maximize players individual abilities.
