Hmm, I can't make any guarantees because I believe I used a data update for this game, and he'll probably be too young to help you right away, but do look for Jonathan Tuffey, he should be with Coventry. He's only 23 in my game in 2011, but with Communication 15, Handling 17, Kicking 20 and 1-on-1s 20, I can live with that. :D Definately worth picking up on the cheap if you can, whatever your situation. Also, look for Pakistani international LC Def Muhammad Ahmed, he's pretty much a Defender In Name Only, but he's been an absolute god for me in Div. 1, I guess Technique and Work Rate 20 make up for some deficiencies. :D

Toledo
Kasper Schmeichel- son of a legend
Nigel Reo-Coker
Giampaolo Pazzini

Robin Kieft- 16, Ajax
Tom Huddlestone- plays a lot of positions
Fabio Paim
Please note: they appear depending on the size of the database and what leagues you have turned on.

Oh, my comments were for CM4, if you're playing 03/04 they probably won't help you.

Hey DutchFootballRulez, thanks for the reply. I went to your site but I couldn't find a link to the MLS update. Is it in the members only area? If so how would you become a member? I joined in the forums but that didn't work. Thanks

There is a filter on the right hand side, similar to the regular squad screen. This is for CM4.
Thanks for the help everyone.

Found him by pure chance - looking in the backwaters of the Bulgarian league.
Got him when he was 21/22. He just got better and better. Has scored 20+ goals a season for 5-6 seasons, with loads of assists and MoM awards aplenty.
Almost single handedly got QPR to the top. Along with Yakubu (in reality at Portsmouth), they made a seriously potent attack.

With all this training talk I went out and found some schedules that I am going to try and emulate in CM4. However, whenever I create a custom schedule and I go to the screen where you assign players to schedules, the name of my first custom schedule repeats in place of the newer schedule. Basically I can create one custom schedule which doesn't help too much if I want one for each outfield player type. I'm in CM4 v. 4.0.8. Anyone else have this problem?

cerci i found by chance...he is incredible. at age 17 he can easily bag 20 goals a season (VERY GOOD GOALS at that) in a top league. he is like a million or so from roma. he will always sign with u if u give him big playing incentives.
kasper schmeichel is considered a cheat on many leagues as they think he is too good.
evandro roncatto is also cosidered a "cheat" to many but he is awesome.
kieft doesnt have the greatest stats but will score tons. i also recommend burkleef from ajax's youth squad. tinidelli also gets good.
supat is a good young thai player. becomes a pretty good forward.
huddlestone is very strong in the midfield or central d
and fabio paim is very good.
all of these from experience.

Yes, Cerci I like. I pair him up with Supat on my ManU reserves team, together they average 4 goals a game. I'm even thinking of selling RVN and Todorov and using the two instead. I'm surprised Kasper is considered a cheat, he has the genes doesn't he? Although in my game he hasn't beat out Tim Howard yet, he's for the future.
There are also a bunch of great players from Iceland. Sorry but I can't pronounce or spell there names. They are very cheap and have EU status which is great for EPL.
Edit: okay two Icelandic names, but you might need database to be on large for them:
Orri freyr oskarsson- 250k?
Hjálmar ţorrarinson- 100k?

wow, never saw that keeper. another VERY good young keeper is kees stam. i think he may be from NEC but i do not know when he is generated. 04 or 05 i would guess. at 15 he is good enough to start for most smaller teams.
another good one pops up on arsenal in 05 i think.
ucl u have one of the icelandic ppl wrong, or i just have never heard of him. the most famous icelander on the internet for CM is Jóhan Ţórhallsson. Plays at Ţór Akureyri and is valued at Ł 35,000

I'm sorry, I spelled his name wrong. I can't put in the weird letters in Icelandic so here's my best shot:
Hjalmar Porarinsson Striker, 18
Club: Prottur Reykjavik
Finishing 16
Long Shot 16
Aggression 18
Bravery 19
Determination 17
Influence 15
Teamwork 17
Work Rate 16
Acceleration 17
Might only be found in large database or Retain Nation players Iceland in your ddt file.
Orri Freyr plays at Ţór Akureyri. Must have player

'Sniff' but not for a Windows update that backfired and killed my old machine, I would have been able to go on my best-ever winning spree on Championship Manager 2...
Team was Liverpool, and I had a great side built up. David James in goal, as centre-backs, three from: Bodo Schmit, Christian Worns, Michael Dubery, Sol Campbell, Rio Ferdinand (well, not sure if I had all three of the English trio, but had two of them at least). Right back, Rob Jones, left back, Dean Sharpe. In midfield, any from Lee Bowyer, Jamie Redknapp, Steve McManaman, and a couple of others that I forget. Collymore and Fowler up front with Leonenko in support.
Bear in mind, this was from the 96/97 season.

Yeah that is a known bug. The way I got around it was to go into the training scheduler (after adding all new custom schedules needed) and remove everything (shooting, setpieces, etc) from the new schedules and then add them back in. The next time I enetered the training screen they are fixed. However you should decide on the total number on unique schedules before you try this since the next time you add one the bug comes back and you need to start over. I hope that helps. There is info online about it if you need more help.

Okay, first I will be honest: at the start of the 1st season I sold some players for more than their value (a total of €5mn). It's the very start of the 08-09 season and I am Tranmere; titles I have won.
1st Dvision Title ('04-'05)
League Cup ('04-'05, '06-'07)
Premiership ('06-'07, '07-'08)
Champions League ('06-'07, '07-08)
Intercontinental Cup ('07-'08)
Champions Shield ('07-'08)
I have the worlds most expensive player (Alessio Cerci; value of €74mn, 20y/o, wonderkid, Italian international (13 caps/13 goals), 220 goals in 5 seasons, 8.86avg rating last season, signed at 15y/o from Roma for €975k - buy him!)...
a worldclass midfielder (Fredy William Thompson, 25y/o)
a wordclass winger who's great in 'the hole' (Daniel Braathen, 25y/o - only cost €250k in the first season)
a worldclass defender (Matteo Ferrari, signed for €13.5mn from PArma last year)
Other top players, all bought for under €3mn: Tim Janssen (get him! he's hceap from PSV and is unreal after he settles in), Jerome Thomas, Lionel Morgan, Markus Husterer, Joe Murphy, Mads Beierholm, Oksitz Estefania, Carmine Pasciarello, Fabio Paim(!), Man-Keung Clarke (best youth system product I've ever seen), Razvan Rat (funny, he cost Villa 31mn 2 years back, did crap, Villa got relegated and went into admin. & I picked him up for 2.2 and he's been spectacular). I also got Michael Dawson for €5.5mn last year (better attributes than even Lucio at the start of the game!).
The board are 'absolutely thrilled'(!) with my performance, my reputation is 'superb', I just led Tranmere to the Champions League (beat Inter 6-2 in the final, Cerci got a hat-trick) and 101 points in the EPL (only one loss all year to Bristol City of all teams (Joe Murphy got injured & I didn't have a sub keeper)... I went from 2-0 up to 3-2 down in 30mins),
