I think there is a file where you can swap teams before you start a game. It is simply a text file you edit. Not an editor, I don't think.

This does work. I just went through the off season and when you renew tv contracts, etc., you will get a whole new crop of u19 if the team is empty. I got 10 or so new youngsters.

this must be a glitch in cm4 or maybe god really likes me
i accidentally bought Ruud for 1,000,000 and im playing for Northampton in div3!!!!
i made the offer as a joke but it turns out i got one of the best strikers in the world playing for my team
i really gotta get the patch installed....or should i

I had a similar situation with cm 03/04 before I eventually threw up my hands and gave up with the game because of the speed issue. The first day of the transfer window ManU offered me Ruud and $50M for Pippo Inzaghi. I immediately accepted and had a strike pair of Sheva and Ruud. Wow! And to make it even better I clinched a deal to bring Henry to Milan on a free for the next season. Unfortunately, getting to that next season would have taken me a real year to get there. So I quit and I'm back to CM4.

We're you playing with the patch? If so, that's discouraging news concerning 03/04.

no, I was playing without the patch but I finally installed it and so far it's working pretty good

SI removed that thread because of legal worries. The MLS patch that was created can be found on the S-Crew website. If you can't find that site, just bring up the profile of Caleyjag on SI, it has a link to it.

any good sites out there for newbies to championship manager. playing 4 demo right now and awaiting the new mac 03 version. doing ok so far but am confused on things. cm for dummies anyone?

Is this a patch for 03/04? does it really work? or what does it do?

it is for 03/04, it adds the mls (not a league), and all of the players in the mls. the patch is really just to incorporate the US players and not just have them on frees, so the league structure is not realistic. so all the special rules in the mls arent there.

I'm fairly sure that this is a stupid question, but as I'm equally sure that I don't know the answer, I'll ask anyway :)
I'm getting a new computer soon but will I be able to continue with my current saved game on it once I install CM4, or will it be stuck on this comp?

So how does the league function? Just like your typical European league?
