Seriously though, how is everyone doing with it. I'm new to CM and find it quite dauting the amount of options available. I checked out the forums on the Official site and had a look oat some unofficial sites aswell.
I remember when I first played it (CM3) I started over with at least 10 different teams before I figured out what I was doing and found a team to keep playing with (Forest Green). Now I can hardly play any "action" sports games because I want to be the GM or coach and not mess around with actually playing the games, its hard going back in that repect.

Me too. I bought World Tour Soccer 2003 because it had some GM capabilities. It was a wasted $40, cause I was back to CM01/02 in less than two weeks.
For me I think it is the fact that every action game has holes or quarks that I figure out. Once I've done that on each level I can pretty much beat the game. Granted, if you take a crappy team and play the best team you'll never win, but it become pretty black and white in that respect.
So I've just went with CM because I can have the best team or the worst team and still win or lose randomly.

I just got CM4 and I'm having problems right from the get go(even with EP2). I can't seem to change my training schedule. I'm trying to change it to pre-season schedule. I confirm that I want pre-season schedule but then when I go back in to training it is back on general schedule. Any help? Wow, I feel like a newbie to Champ Man again.

When is the draft going to be fixed for MLS?

You can now download Enhancement Pack 2 from here (http://www.sigames.com/news_view.php?act=2&id=648). :)
And if for some reason that link doesn't work, try this one (http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/championshipmanager4/patches/404_enhance.exe).

And it seems that Enhancement Pack 3 should be available in late-April/early-May (http://www.sigames.com/news_view.php?act=2&id=649). :)

Back to 01/02 for a minute...I just reformatted my hard drive, I didn't bother to save any of my non-important programs so most of my CM stuff (editors and whatnot) are gone. No big deal really, but there's one program that I'm trying to replace but can't seem to find and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out...What it did was allow me to make an un-playable national team (i.e. Canada) playable, this may have been a feature in one of the editors, but I'm not sure. I've looked around the usual sites but can't find what I'm looking for, does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I might be able to find it?

I've got no idea what you're specifically talking about, but try this: : www.thedugout.net/. They've got a whole bunch of downloads, and they've also got a forum (you have to register) with a technical section where someone should be able to help. Good luck.

You can get that at www.sigames.com, it's called Graeme Kelly's CM Saved-Game Editor, it allows you to play any national side, as well as make them all EU so no work permits...

You should call them by their official title: "Messieurs Postmen." (I believe the whole team, or most of them anyway, work for the postal service).
And anyway, a real man would take the Vatican City job.

Awesome! That's exactly what I was looking for. I usually don't mess with editors, so when I lost the only one I did use I wasn't sure where to go find it again.
Now I can manage Canada again! And while I'm at it, I've added a manager and taken control of Botswana. Go Zebras!

Can you really manage San Marino? Even with max-database I've still only got 3 players of San Marinese (?) nationality. How does international management work if you can't field a team? Do you get grays? At least with Botswana I've got 19 guys to choose from, including Dipsy Selolwane!

I haven't been to this thread for a while so don't kill me if this has been brought up before.
Has anyone else had really crappy offside calls made against them? Players on the far side of the pitch getting blown for the offsides when the ball is played to the other side. I get alot offsides on shots as well.

Note: The only version I've used is 01/02, so it may be different for you.
If you click on the bottom button, past Continue Game, Competitions and whatnot, there'll be an option to Add Manager. Select it, give the new guy a name and nationality and you can then send him pretty much anywhere. Wherever you select, outside of the one you're already controlling, will automatically sack whoever's in charge and install the new guy as manager.
