Does cm4 include bradenton in the game? I know they had the p-40 program in cm3.
Can anyone answer this for me.

They didn't have the "P-40 Program" in CM3. They had a team in the A-League named "P-40 Select" but it wasn't the same as the program.
They also had teams called "University of Virginia" and a few others, doesn't mean they had the NCAA in the game.

Well I got to the MLS draft and added a manager just to try it out (I'm managing in the A-League). Checked out the draft combine games and got to the Superdraft. Had the 6th pick and waited for the first pick...and waited...and waited. Pressed every button in hopes it would activate something and NY would choose somebody. Too bad it never happened and I ended up just forfeiting all of KC's picks to get out of it.
I gotta say this game (even with the first patch) is a massive bug-a-thon and at this point is more frustrating than fun. I hope it all gets sorted out in the next patch, but IMHO I don't think this game will be "ready" until CM4 04-05 comes out, but we'll see.

Well that sucks, I was looking forward to MLS in this edition....

Well MV said the next patch would be out in about a month so hopefully most of it will get fixed. I can live with it since it took me about a month to get the hang of CM3 where I started over about 10 times before I kept on playing the same game. Hopefully I'll be ready to manage for real when the patch comes.

..and hopefully US Soccer Manager is bugless by then.
KDdidit, is Syracuse in the A-League?

No Syracuse in the A-League. For reference the A-League is divided by CM into "Group A, B, C, and D"
A=Atlanta Rochester Montreal Pittsburgh Toronto
B=Richmond Virginina Beach Charlseton Charlotte
C=Cincinatti Milwaukee Indiana Minnesota
D=Vancouver Seattle El Paso Portland Calgary
Never followed A-League so in case anyone's interested and doesn't know the playofs have Group winners get first round playoff byes and finishers 2-4 in groups A and D and 2nd place in C and D play in the first round, all 2 legs until the championship.
Listed under "Division 3" even though its not playable are:
California Carolina Connecticut Greenville Long Island New Hampshire New Jersey New York (freedoms) North Virginia Reading San Diego South Jersey Utah Westchester Western Mass. Wilmington
Non-league teams are:
Arizona Auburn U. Cascade Chico Nashville Nevada Palm Beach Athletic College P40 Southern New Hampshire University

I suppose I'd still buy it, as it can be fun. But I expect to play this game a lot. In the last CM I was 20 seasons in with about 4 different teams. The problem is if I’m going to devote all that time to the game, I’m going to get driven crazy by all the minor inaccuracies (CONCACAF Caribbean Zone first game is called second leg, second game called first leg, League form table in A-League has no L’s only W’s X’s and D’s, A-League trading players to MLS for draft picks). I could casually play it and not mind it too much, but I think SI is a victim of its own success and high expectations. For me CM 01-02 is a more enjoyable game at this point than CM4 is. On the other hand, it’s obvious that CM4 can be much better than CM 01-02 is with a few patches. Until then I’ll have fun buying players in monthly installments and receive the money every month instead of paying it.

CM4 is the 03/04.
Its a completely new engine. SI rewrote the code from scratch instead of just "updating" CM3.

heh, the game seems old then if there's no Syracuse.
Is Milwaukee at least the Wave United?

has anyone played in the MLS and tried to pick up a player without having it nixed with the message 'you can only 2 discovery options' blah blah blah. Every single player i've tried to take on trial or acquire i've got this message. What to do?

Ok, I'm going back to CM 01/02 again...I posted before how I had players all pissed, solved that problem, sold the players that weren't liked.
Now, I've hit a bigger problem. Because I've won the EPL and Champs League so many times (last four EPLs and three Chmp Lgs) I've got loads of cash (about $150 million). I could therefore buy about two of the most expensive players in the world ($30 mil a piece) without any problem. But fewer players seem to be interested in my club. When I go to sign them they say "...are not sure that the move would benefit their future". And even unprotected contract signings wont sign with me even when I offer much larger contracts than other teams, whereas they used to sign with me. I'm playing with Coventry, so I know the whole "its not a prestigous club" thing, but if the players used to be interested any ideas as to why things have changed.
Not to mention when I get my monthly update from the Board of directors I all the sudden got bad news. They said "We are sad to see that you are losing the enthusiastic support of the fans." I'm heading into a new season, just won the World Club Championships, won the EPL, FA Cup and Chmps Lg again last year. Are my fans "bored with winning"? I've been thinking about resigning from the club, taking over another team, and seeing how they do on their own. But its so much fun watching the players I've signed do so well.

The makers of CM should have stuck to the winning forumula.
people hate the changes that have been made by the looks of it.Has their run of dominance finally ended after about 15 years at the top of the football manager game market??
I've played practically every version of the game and I've never seen such a poor reception for a Cm game..

What I'm playing now I definately don't like, but I'll save my final opinion on the game until it works the way it's supposed to work. I mean it's hard to say that I don't like the changes when the changes aren't working properly.
I do think calling it an "enhancement pack" is a joke. Enhancement sounds like it's adding extra features, what it did (and what the next one will hopefully do) was patch a bunch of bugs.

I'm coming to the defense here as a developer.
CM3 was a better, perfected Cm2. Cm4 was a total recreation of CM3, which is why it took so long. I was surprised that you couldn't arrange/cancel friendlies in the demo since you could in Cm2, but they probably hadn't done the code for that yet.
That just means that CM4 will be the new CM2. Just you wait for CM5. As an indie SMG developer, I know I won't.
