I think everyone knows this pain. I always end up with a squad of young, no-names and then an aging superstar or two who can give me one or two good years. For instance, my Oldham squad had a bunch of cheap, but good, Brasilians and then we had Batistuta who gave me 15 goals a year for two years. When he retired I managed to pick up Figo cheap from Arsenal and he did well for me for two years. Then my game got corrupted and I cussed for a really long time.

My best ever CM moment was taking the US to a 3rd place finish in WC 2002. This was on 01/02. I was playing a 4132, with all 3 MCs moving moderately forward.

Currently I've got Valencia in the UEFA Cup semifinals and 2nd in the league in my first year. I've got 43 million pounds to spend, so next year I expect nothing less than the CL semifinals and winning the league.

Anyone able to teach how to use the game editor to move a team from one league to another. I want to see what I can do with the Metrostars in the French leagues. I'm trying to figure out how I can move them over, but don't have any idea how to do this. Anyone able to offer up some insight into doing this.

I just started a game in argentina and was watching the WC and saw Bruce use a 4-1-2-1-2 to take the US all the way to the Semi's losing 0-1 on a 10 min Beckham penalty to Engerland and beating Turkey in the 3rd place game...

oh, and Engerland lost to Germany in the final 0-2, typical England...

Clint Mathis scored 6 goals and won the golden boot, the US also knoced out Brazil and France with 2-0 score lines...and Reyna and Mathis made the WC 11...

the whole time I was thinking...so close and yet so far.

go to www.thedugout.net and look for under the utilities downloads and download the team swap editor.

When you open it up it lists the leagues for the most part and is fairly easy to use without directions and whatnot...make sure you also go into the editor before you start the game and set the US to an EU eligible country, as you won't be able to get into the games with too many foreigners.

I lost in penalties to Turkey in the QFs. Victorine was a beast at DMR position in a 3-5-2 attacking setup.

I got Roberto Baggio off a free and he and youngster Tonton Zola Moukoko paired nicely in Palace's run to the Premiership--they would each play a half and scored more than one goal a game. Of course, he promptley retired and went into coaching. Still, an aging vet can be invaluable to a cash-strapped team trying to make a promotion run.

i have gotten york to the premiership and won it 3 times, 2nd place twice, won the champion's league and uefa cup as well. i am now in the year 2017... and that is by far the longest game that i have ever played. to give you a perspective: i had a 47 year old gazza on my reserve team. :)

In mine it was Dante Washington of all people who led the team with 4 goals, but the goals came from all over. I beat France 4-1 in the final first round game that meant elimination for either team that lost. I beat England 2-0 on 2 goals in the last 5 minutes. The loss in the semifinal was to Argentina.
