Anyone downloaded the update from www.sigames.com ?

Strange in MLS....all the teams are almost spot-on, but its wierd playing against Miami + Tampa Bay, who have no players at all.

If you havent downloaded it, do it, because February is a long wait.

*Landon Donovan scored 38 in 38 for me in the Premiership, playing behind the front 2 for Everton*

Well managed the runners-up spot. Not too bad, if only a last minute penalty had gone the other way.

Third division Man City win the FA Cup.

In the same division Man Utd win two games all season.

That really is crazy stuff. Im tempted to leave my computer on all night and all morning to see what happens.

Ive had another idea also......

If I load up CM 00-01, couldnt I put the 'pictures' file into the latest version of the game, giving me some decent background changes?

Im not fully sure how to import my own images onto the game, I get confused at anything slightly technical.

Can anyone tell me if this will work or not...........SI Games forum wont let me register or anything, so I'll leave it up to someone here to answer.

update:

after four straight losses piloting the fire (with the only goals scored in those games being 2 goals in five minutes from jamar beasley in the opener), i deleted that file and started over with celtic.

currently in 3rd place in the SPL behind dundee and dundee united (!) and i just beat rangers 4-1. lost the opener, havent lost since. sadly, the opener was to dundee. dammit.

If you get the official update, a career in MLS is easier to do, and the squads (especially the Fire) are totally good.

actually, the only reason i'm playing as celtic is because the fire were abysmal. i lost four straight.

i just won 10 straight games, only to draw st. johnstone and then crash out of the CIS cup in the semis against hearts. ouch.

it probs will work i dont know how but it will be possible.

Speaking of Champ Man 00-01 any one whos a lazy ass bitch that carnt play the game properly, I recomend being Lazio. They have the greatest team on the game and will destroy anyone that gets in there way.

I already tried that Lazio trick but in CM 01-02 ;) in my first season finished second behind Roma in Calcio and fell in semis in UCL!

In my latest game, I used the editor to do the following:

1. I live in Indiana, so I used the Indiana Blast (an A-league team). I did this by exchanging them with a Scottish team (Gretna, I believe) and starting in the Scottish Third. I had to relocate Kuntz Memorial to Glasgow, and add a 2nd nationality to all the players (Scotland), and relocate Gretna to Indianapolis, and the A-League.

2. I also renamed the Blast to Indy Racing Athletic (my www.hattrick.org team), just to feel 'at home'. Added the most recent roster changes to the Blast's team, and changed a couple names (as K. Morris is actually Kris Morris, a lady, nice one, too).

3. My first season in I finished 3rd and went out in all the Cups relatively quickly. 2nd season I won promotion! 3rd season seemed like a repeat of the 1st, except I was 4th. Got promoted to Scottish 1st in my 5th season! I'm struggling midtable now, but it's looking better and better. Long-term goal is to be one of the perennial top 3 in Scotland, and eventually topple Rangers and Celtic!

4. I've only signed young players, and haven't spent any cash at all (on transfer fees). I'm doing pretty decent on the cash front, making a bit now and then (I have a positive balance of US $1,537,844 at the moment). I've sold a couple guys who've gone on to do well for Hearts and Livingston, repsectively (and I always set as a condition of any sale 10% of next transfer, so that's good if a big team notices them!).

5. I also gave Gretna a boatload of cash, just to see what an A-League team could do ;-) They just won the Open Cup in season 5, and have consistantly gotten into the semi-finals (losing in the final to San Jose last year). I'm kinda curious to see what, if any, international (Merconorte/Champions Cup) they play in next season as Open Cup Champs! They've actually got a US Nat team player on their roster now! (I'm using fake names, so no idea who he was, though he came from LA for 3.1 million).

It's interesting and fun taking a crap team through Scotland, but I find I'm more interested in Gretna's Open Cup runs :P

Well, my glorious run with not-quite-Forest Green came to an ignomious halt, due to a system crash in the middle of a save. RIP save file. Sadness is upon me.

I have hit a wall, and can't manage to get around it, or through it, or...

After having taken York City all the way to the Premiership, and winning the UEFA Cup twice, the League Cup once, countless manager of the month awards, a world class rating etc etc... I still can't win the whole shebang. My teams score loads of goals, but always give up loads as well. Things will be great, and then some bottom feeder will beat me 4-1. I really don't know what I need to do.

I have started another game with Cowdenbeath, but I want to win the Premiership! Is that too much to ask!
