I dunno about you people, but whenever i play a game I always seem to give up or score a goal within the first 10 minutes. that's seems kind of weird. I would say that 25% of all goals come in the first 10 minutes.

Happens to me, too...especially against REALLY good teams like Man Utd or Arsenal.

I suggest that for the next version they get the MLS overtime rules correct. In the current version of CM, they play a full 30 minute golden goal if a season match ends in a draw, when in the MLS, extra time is only 10 minutes.

Also, in the MLS, the visiting team always wears their white or yellow jersey while the home team always wears their dark jersey.

Perhaps you could include things like "player deaths" only in fake players mode. That way nobody will be upset since the player is imaginary.

Anybody here besides me like to go into the game editor and add themselves as a superstar player?

Just looked at www.sigames.com and saw that Championship Manager 02/03 is coming out for XBox in Nov... I take it this is Championship Manager 4... What I can't understand is why they have a release date for this, yet no release date for CM4 on the PC... One would assume they'd come out with it on PC first, or at least at the same time...

Marc, do you know what the system requirements will be for CM4? I played the CM3 demo on a buddy's super sweet computer, but I only have a clunker. Just might have to upgrade...

CM02-03 Xbox is an updated version of CM3 for this season for the Xbox.

This is being done simply because I am committed to supporting the Xbox as a platform and it isn't possible to release a version of CM4 for this season.

Hence, rather than not release a game for this season (and thus annoy people who bought an Xbox to play CM) we've decided to release an enhanced update for 02-03.

The release date for CM4 will be announced relatively soon.

I can only give a rough estimate at the moment because we haven't finished optimising things yet, but I believe:

PIII-800
64Mb RAM

You'll be able to play the game with less than this (basically any Pentium with 32Mb of RAM should be able to stumble along) ... however a P800 is the minimum that I'd suggest using personally.

Obviously the bigger and better the more leagues you'll be able to run (as usual).

PS. Apologies for the delay in replying to questions - but my third child was born on Friday so I'm a little pre-occupied currently.

Keegan Vaughan weighs in at 9lbs 9oz and is already a good dribbler (yeah I know its a sad joke - I'll get my coat ;) ).

Sorry but no. The PS-2 doesn't have a hard-disk or enough memory to cope with CM.

We're planning on announcing the release date in the near(ish) future .... I'll announce it here when we do so.

We're working on it - the original plan was for all our Xbox games to be 'regionless' - unfortunately this wasn't possible (for reasons beyond our control) ...

We're doing our best to secure an American release for all CM versions, when exactly this will be possible is anyones guess at the moment unfortunately :(

(although I can confirm that we are definitely planning an American release for EHM:FE (our forthcoming Hockey sports sim) which should be released during winter 2003)

Marc,
Been playing CM for about 6 years now. I was wondering in 2001-2002 version why do Scottish reserve games stop happening after about three years. I've heard it is possibly because of some strange rule about reserves in Scotland. Just wondering why it is. Great game by the way. Unfortunately, it has ruin what used to be my life. Thanks.

According to this http://www.spong.com/detail/news.asp?mode=full&prid=3784&type=n# CM4 will be Xbox only before Christmas.
