Um, not to be negative or anything, but does that mean future versions will include clubs having all sorts of financial problems and some completely failing, requiring them to be replaced?
And what about very rare occurrences, like a player passing away? Not that I'm wishing that to happen, but like I said, I'm curious as to how detailed you gents made the game.

I've had clubs in dire financial straits on my game. Normally a new board takes control and they have their debts cleared.
Back to gameplay. I am really annoyed right now. Suddenly after finishing second in the Premier league with York City, and winning the UEFA Cup, I can't even beat QPR in the League Cup! I seem to be running into a lot of super goalies these days as well. Midtable in the league, and already out of the CL, Uefa, and league cups. :(

That's got to be it. Having same problems w/ Palace in the EPL, but can't seem to find the right tactics at the moment. My 9 match winless streak has me reaching for the Pepto...

I just had a game with Bochum in the German division 2 .I was top 3 in the league just before the winter break and I got sacked .I was working with a team with limited finance and I got the boot .
It was weird because I got the chop just after 2 straight wins over promotion rivals .
I cant be arsed with this game anymore.

I tried changing tactics, but it hasn't realy helped much. The truly annoying thing is the Human Brickwalls I am facing every match. I wrack up double digit shots on target and end up scoring 1 goal. :mad:

AI is the programmed artificial intelligence of the computer. The computer can sort out how to beat your team eventually due to the AI.

We already have clubs falling into recievership in CM01-02 (when you cannot refuse offers for players etc.) ... in CM4 you'll also have real-world affects like clubs being automatically relegated in certain leagues because of financial troubles.
Finances have been totally remodelled for CM4 because the state of the soccer world have changed dramatically in recent times (with the collapse of the transfer markets and some leagues television deals) ..... life will be somewhat tougher for the smaller clubs because of this, but the harder the challenge - the greater the satisfaction when you succeed?

I won't include things like 'player deaths' because I think it might be upsetting to people who know the person involved, sorry if that sounds 'uncool' - but I won't put anything into the game which I wouldn't like said about me personally .... simple as that.

Yeah, I was managing Forest one time when we went into administration. It certainly made life difficult, but we eventually got a new board and money to spend. I didn't know if things could get worse in some cases.
As for the death issue, I can understand the reasons not to include it. I was simply curious, since it is a part of life and the sport, as we've unfortunately seen in the past. Thanks for the answers.

dammit
my team always gets 10-15 shots in and always outshoots the other team, but it goes scoreless or manages just one goal. also, my strikers have a good finishing, jumping, and heading rating (16+). What's going on? Is this the AI crack again or what? then again being a fan of the Korean national team, I'm used to this.

How do I get a copy of 01/02 in the States..I have looked all over the web for it..and cant find it anywhere. Can I order a copy from Amazon.uk? I am definitely claiming ignorance when it comes to games being played on computers in the UK and the US.

I ordered mine online a few weeks ago. It arrived in less than one week.
Can't find my receipt --- but go to Yahoo, click on "More" or "Other Yahoos", click on "Yahoo - UK & Ireland", and do a search on the UK Yahoo for Championship Manager. You'll find several sources.
