Great site with great goals from past decades and present. I saw Navarro's superb flick against Chile, Cachito's brace at the Bombonera, "chumpigolazos", the centenariazo with Uribe dancing and dribbling all over the Uruguay defence and a lot more. It's free to sign up.

I guess it doesn't take much to build sites these days... kagones.
Then again both sites are owned by the same kagon... or wanna-be investor, however you wanna put it.
Anyways, my www.universitario.us site is still in its brainstorming stage. ;)

Hey in one of those clips,Ecuador - Peru from 1978, it appears that the ecuadorian national team jersey had a front diagonal stripe similar to Peru. Any Ecuadorians out there who can post pic of their jerseys from the 70's.

which clip are you talking about?
that's funny, I didn't know they used to have one too, colombia used to have a completely white uniform with a triband (Yellow, blue, and red) across the chest. I saw a pic once, but haven't been able to find it again.

Clip labeled Eliminatorias Mundial Argentina 1978.
Actually in the eliminatorias 82 clip against Colombia, you can make out the triband on the jersey but the uniform is not white.

I believe that that's when they switched to yellow, blue shorts, and yellow socks, because some top official proposed the new colors from the flag.

Wow ... flashback after flashback.
What a freaking great goal was the 2nd against Chile for the Copa America 75. Percy Rojas on the right and Oblitas in a "chalaca", beating I believe it was NEff. Btw, tis was the 1st game the Peru NT ever played at Matute.
And how gay was Casaretto's little jump after the 3rd goal to Brazil in Belho Horizonte? :p
Good stuff Visca. :D

I gotta show my kid these clips. He's always heard of Peru being a great team back in the days. Even his Italian grandad told him how back in the 70's countries like even Italy were always nervous to play Peru. He even said that there was a guy that was going to be called the next Pele on the Peru NT. He doesnt remember what the name was. Does anyone know who he was talking about. I mentioned them all and he dont remember. Just said the guy looked black, maybe cubillas?

I'm sure it was Cubillas.
There were many similarities in both players as they started their career. Both were teens when they started with club and country and both were small, black and skinny..sorta like Robinho. both were forwards, and of course both showed incredible talent at a young age.

Well if its him, to merit the next "Pele" reputation, he must have been something else on the field.
