With Yallop as Head Coach Canada will lose. The players that I see Yallop calling up for the Gold Cup, no way USA will win. Don't get me wrong I want Canada to win but we will lose because of poor judgement in selecting the players to the Gold Cup by Yallop.

You have not seen the national side play in a while have you? We will mopped up by the Yanks even if they do use their reserve team in this tournament. 2001 we took them to penalties at the gold cup, we won't get that close this time.

First off mate, i just have one username: cdnbhoy67, but if you think
otherwise thats your hangup. I have never trashed Canadian soccer,
just pointed out it's many, many flaws. People keep saying just wait
for the kids to come through. Christ , they have been saying that since
the late 70's early 80's how many more times can they say that.
Canadian soccer has only it self to blame for the state it is in, Canadians
want top quality soccer to support, they want a Canadian league that
they must know is not going to happen again after 2 failed attempts.
Canadian fans wear jerseys of their favorite foreign teams ( i do it
myself) yet won't wear the Canadian jersey ( although i do). How many
times when Canada does play a big game at home they are out numbered
by the opposition fans, (been there, Mexico at Canada at Varsity,
Italy at Canada at Varsity where i could count the numbers of us canucks
on both hands. You have a team like the Toronto Lynx puting out a pathetic
team and wonder why it's not being accepted by the local soccer fans &
media? While the Whitecaps and Impact do have good loyal support, that
will not help the sport country wide only their communities. Then you have
the national side playing it's first wcq in the second round at home vs
Guatemala, coming out flat and get beaten badly in the process and never
recovered for a quick exit. Canadian soccer will stay the same for some
time to come, the question is does any one want it to succeed?

This is not rugby or ice hockey, where Canada will usually have the upper hand over us. This is soccer, and the USA will clobber Canada by more than 5 goals or more. Mark it down.
