Arsenal on a Monday yet again. We didn't have a Monday game all season. I don't think this is going to be as easy as going up there and winning the league.

Go On Chelsea!

I'm hoping we rest everyone and play for a draw. Even a loss would be acceptable if no one gets hurt. We need all hands on deck for Tuesday and I'm not too worried about wrapping up the Prem at home against Charlton, who pretty much look like they've thrown in the towel.

Rest half, play half and switch it up. Jose knows best. I just want that win so bad I can taste.

iI'm hoping we do one of the 3 things:

1. Rest everyone and still win
2. Rest everyone for 60 minutes and then score a few in the last 30 minutes.
3. Score in the first 30 minutes and then rest everyone.

It probably won't happen, but one can wish.

Draw. Tiago and Jarosik will almost certainly start, Duff won't play, Robben will be subbed in on the hour. Huth will play as well.

Drogba won't play and Kezza will be allowed to roam the field as much as he wants to. Last chance to prove himself, but it might be too late. Possible line-up.

Cudicini
Johnson/Morais Huth Carvallho Smertin?
Geremi Tiago Jarosik Cole
Kezman Forssell

Is there a reserve match this weekend?
No way Carlo, Morais or Geremi see the starting lineup. Lampard plays. Cole doesn't; replaced by Tiago.

Why would Lampard play? Also, what is the possible line-up that you see, especially the middle?

Why would Lampard play?

Because, because....Lampard ALWAYS plays :D
142 consecutive Premiership games and counting

I think a draw would be a good result for this one. Whoever said we'd lose (and I'm looking in the Clan Blue direction, more of a sneer than a look actually) should go and wash his mouth out with soap ;)

We'll give a few minutes to Duff (if fit) and Robben from the bench. Drogba will play, but I think Eidur might knick his spot for the Liverpool game

It's true, I completely forgot about his streak for a moment there. Well, then he can play in the last 20 minutes.

Why would Lampard play?

Yeah, that boy needs a rest. He's been mediocre in the last two games. Crap against Fulham (despite his goal) & was a bit invisible yesterday ... Thought his corners were rubbish, too. This seems to happen to him once in a while & is probably the reason why Terry got player of the year over him --> consistency.

I actually think Lampard will start. Huth and Terry as CBs, Gallas and Johnson on the wings (although Huth may play LB with Gallas on the bench), Jarosik, Lampard and Tiago in midfield, Kezman, Eidur and X as well. Not sure who X will be, but who knows - Parker to make a shock recovery! Might be Drogba.

I actually agree with Clan - I don't see Drogba starting against 'Pool. Eidur, Duff and Robben up top with Cole, Lampard and Makelele in midfield. If that's not a team built to counter, I don't know what is.

So you think we'll have 4-3-3 on tue.

Yes, I do, with Robben and Duff back, its our most effective team.

Yes, i was thinking i'd like to see that as well, it would be a very effective team against a Liverpool that will attack.

Geremi actually only needs one more appearance i believe to get a medal, wouldn;t be surprised to see him get it (both :D) on Saturday.

Actually, I'd love to see him get a game at RB, see what he can do there.
