Are they really going to televise this? It doesn't look like even a semi-competitive game.

Well, I guess I should set the VCR.

Soooo instead of playing in Europe this year, Spurs are playing Americans? Hmmm, and why did Sol leave again???? Oh, charity thing. Gotcha...

Well, I've never pulled for DC before but I guess Thursday's the day!

If you are going to post results, you better put a big fat [R] on the title.

The announcer, who has now got "MLS" right, mentioned David Ginola (who is playing today) posssibly going to DC next season, has this been reported before?

The announcer was talking about DCU never played in front of big crowds. The MLS cup 97 we had 57,000 at RFK. This English guy sure knows how to put us down. We will get the WC before the English would.

He also said that the DC players were taken aback by the size of WHL.

RFK seats 55,000 plus, and it has been filled for a number of games, including MLS cup 1997. White Hart Lane seats 36,240.

You have to give the Brits a break. They lost the empire before they lost their habit of looking down their noses at everybody else. Give 'em time.

I would say the average of the 4 MLS Cups we played in is around the 50,000 mark

Ok, so that excuses them. So what's your excuse for your having your feathers so easily ruffled?

What excuses them? And what makes you think my feathers are ruffled? I don't have any feathers. I hardly have any hair, for that matter.

Pardon--thought he meant the last five Cups. Read it incorrectly.
