recommend that you save your 0_text.asf by renaming it to
0_text.asf.original. When you want to play online with someone
not using the patch, first rename the new 0_text.afs to 0_text.afs.mls
then rename 0_text.afs.original to 0_text.afs. To switch back to
MLS Evolution 2005, do the reverse and rename 0_text.afs back to
0_text.afs.original and rename 0_text.afs mls back to 0_text.afs

Will someone be setting up a version for PS2 users again?

Thank you Gutbomb. The patch looks great! :)

Now if I can figure out how to host games online (considering those technical difficulties that kept me from hosting games in our last league). :(

From what I've played this morning in single-player (one game with the Earthquakes in their home uniforms and one game with them in their away uniforms), the numbering/lettering color issues have been corrected. :)

I'll have to play some more to see if the other MLS teams' numbering/lettering are correct, though I don't recall whether or not there were problems with them as well.

Thanx

Great work as always Gutbomb!! Thanks for all the hard work.

One thing I have noticed though, is that on some of the kits there looks to be a transparency issue going on.

For example, was playing last night as Metros w/ black&red kit. All around the neck of the kit was a thin bright green line.

I'm going ot run through all the kits laster today after work and come up with a list of any issues. Then I'll probably just go ahead and fix them myself since I'm familiar with editing and importing kits for PES/WE.

Other than that I'm hoping that there will be a conversion of this latest option file so I can replace it with the one on my PS2. This way when I extract the kits from your PC patch and then insert them into my PS2 AFS I'll have pretty comparable games. Hopefully Russ is already working on this for us. If not maybe we can bribe him somehow... :D

Thanks and peace out...

I'll convert these to the PS2 over the weekend. I'm going to use the graphics and colors from the new jerseys in the patch to create more accurate kit graphics along with adding the goaltender kits.

Uh oh! I just noticed something... :(

It seems that while the Earthquakes number color issues were corrected for the jerseys, they were not corrected for the shorts. The numbers are still black on the home shorts (should be white) and are white on the away shorts (should be black).

Is it me or do the MetroStars have only 5 Subs? Didn;t they just get a kid from Africa? 18 year old speedster?

Yes, the Metros do have a small roster in the patch, but there wasn't much that could be done about it. They dumped so many of their experienced players and are dressing a bunch of youngsters on the bench. I would have liked to get Corcoran, Bailey, and Hernandez in there, but they are not in the FM2005 player database and I couldn't find any scouting reports on them to guess at their ratings. The speedster you speak of is Abbe Ibrahim, and he is included in this version of the patch.

Can that be fixed in the game?

yeah if you go to the edit section and edit the "name on kit" you can change the colors. those changes won't take effect when playing online though.
