Like most people I didn't get lucky in the draw, I suppose there is still a chance in the second round. Anyway, for Japorea I bought my tickets last minute on Ebay, not exactly cheap, but worth every penny in the end. I didn't go to France '98, so I'm wondering how easy was it for people to get tickets on the secondary market? Ebay, travel packages, scalpers, etc. I imagine the supply/demand for Germany '06 should be about the same as France '98.

I went to France without any tickets, was very lucky to get tickets to the Brazil - Chile game on the flight to Paris:D. Getting tickets to the Brazil - Denmark game was easy, but expensive (got then in "down town" Nantes on the afternoon of the game). Overall you had to be very careful of police, I have seen them take tickets and money as well as arresting people.

For Japan/Korea I had Brazil TST 5 tickets, while in Korea I was able to get tickets for several group stage games (e.g. France-Denmark, USA-Poland) below face value outside the stadium 1-2 hours before the start of the game.

However I wouldn't be surprised if it is indeed much more difficult this time.

Demand will be higher for Germany
Germans are bigger soccer fans than the French
French just as happy to make a profit from selling tickets
as they were to atend the matches. Rather reckon the
Germans will want to go see the matches.
You'll do well to find tickets for face value or near that on
match day, best option will be to watch matches in pub with
the locals.
