Good Luck Autuori...he will probably win his debut match since Sao Paulo has a bad ass team(grafittte is a monster) and the most money...the only thing that would redeem him from the NT fiasco is if he would sign peruvian player for Sao Paulo like Rodrigez.

I agree ,definately bad timing for Autori to leave. Any way he got a good excuse (congress calling him for no reason whatsoever), and now he can go back to Brazil and coach Sau Paulo (last time it was Santos that wanted him before the Peru-Brazil match).
The replacement should be a Peruvian, there is no way a foreigner would come to coach for 5 games (even if they offer him a big long term contract).
Ternero is the obvious choice but he has said he wants a long-term contract, would they offer him that? I doubt it. Even if they do they would probably fire him after the WCQ (with the excuse that he didn't qualify). This morning I heard him say that he WOULD NOT call old-timers (and nuņez said that he was referring to SOLANO....).
.
In an interview with Oblitas (yesterday in Futbol en America) he also thinks that Autori left with a good excuse.
He is not seen as a bad guy (he left because of "congress citing him for an interview"); Peru is not 100% out of competition (his reputation in the world as a coach is not trashed);he won't have to pay the FPF for leaving (it was a mutual concensus); and he has a job already in Brazil waiting for him.
Now I hope that Ternero can ignite this team, and play with the fire that Pizarro, Guerrero, and Chorri always bring to the field (I really doubt that Mendoza will ever be called- he is such a pechofrio that is unbeliebable).
ARRIBA PERU C_A_R_A_J_O :D

New coach, new faces... this can sure guarantee us that that rat Salas never plays for the NT again! I also hope he has the balls to get rid of Zegarra and including his father, Zegarra Sr. who was Autuori's assistant coach. Camello Soto has to leave, and he can take Jayo with him.

Damn dude, I'm not sure I'd be used to seeing other new faces like that. I'm so used to seeing the old ones.

it will be interesting to see who ternero call, his cienciano team contained a lot of players people thought of as old and useless/past their used by date

Oh no, hope he dosent treat the NT like that. I'd say right now on the NT he has 70% good players to work with. Hey how bout that colombian guy on cienciano, saras? Aint he peruvian now, he used to be a good play maker and even score occasionally.

I remember when Cienciano played with a different team for each game, and I like that about Ternero, he actually has some kind of strategy going into the game. He said just that in today's press conference that he "will play whomever he feels is best capable to perform my strategy". How do you guys think he is going to play against Colombia?

Would you really want another naturalized foreigner playing for out NT? I'm personally already sick of Ibaņez

And I think Ternero will definitely play defensively against Colombia, only Pizarro up top. I don't really care anymore, we have to win even if it's ugly or by cheating, paying off refs, doesn't matter.

Will Mendoza start ever again for the NT? Very unlikely... but will he continue to play for the NT? Of course he will, there's no denying that he's one of our best strikers that Peru has to offer. His lack of intelligence and right foot doesn't take away from the skills he posesses. Anyways, there will be times where Peru will need because of injuries or tournies like the one coming up, the Kirin Cup.

I just bought the magazine "Champions" from UEFA and there's an article of the best 57 goals scored in Champions League from the last 50 years. Guess who made the list? Andres Mendoza's goal against AC Milan!

I think Ternerno (don't spam me) can help Mendoza's Mood better and can also help him become a better finisher. He has all he needs to be a great player

he just needs a mood change and his finishing skills and he would be a great player i hate to see his talent fade away on stupid reasons.

That should come to no surprise... did you ever see the goal? It's quite a gem.
Anyways, i'm still looking for this goal to add to my soccer video clips collection... if anybody has it, please let me know.

I would have to agree he has skill even though he pisses me off when he messes up big time.
