Great to see the head start on prep! :)

The Loyalists sit in E32.

If anyone wants any suggestions on where to stay / what to do, let me know.

My wife and I will be making that trip again. Guess it's a week off (for me), with the boys playing in FCD's new digs 4 days prior. We'll be there too.

As many of the Rapids C10 reps as can will be making the trip for the first annual presentation of the Rocky Mountain Cup. I'll be flying up from Phoenix for the game.

Maybe we should talk about a charter for this one? I would be in if there was a bus, but by myself I would be a little hesitant to go.

Could we possibly get this threat stickeyed to keep it fresh and at the top of the page for exposure sake?

C10 has discussed organizing a road trip for the game, but once the game was changed to Thursday night we assumed that there wouldn't be enough interest. If enough people we get posting that they would be interested though, we could revisit the idea.

So does anybody have an idea in what section we should sit. Where did you Rapids Fan sit at the last game in SLC ???

Prices Are

Red - $32
Blue - $25
Yellow - $18
Gray - $14

As it has been stated the "Loyalists" sit in section E32 So where are the REBELS OF THE RAPIDS going to sit ! ! ! !

W16 or W8 would be obvious choices.

If we get a number of people committed to the trip ahead of time, I or somebody on C10 can talk to our contacts at Real Salt Lake about getting a section reserved for the Rapids fans, so we won't have to worry about finding an open area. It will have to be somewhere where we can sit in the front row, so that the Rapids fans can recieve the Rocky Mountain Cup! Who knows, maybe they'll even offer us a discount (Probably not, why give the travelling fans anything ;) )

They didn't. They were busy hiding. **SMIRK**

I'm soooo funny, eh? :)

Seriously, from E32, it looked like there were just a couple here and there. That's why it would be a good idea to get a section together now for the group if you can with the RSL front office. Enough of heads up and tehy may be willng to work with you and even get you a sign like "sec w16 may stand, sign, and swear all game. Let the steward kknow if you'd like to sit elsewhere" or something like that.

Count me among those that are pondering the trip, wouldn't be a road trip for me coming from DC, but I'd really like to be there supporting the Rapids.

I already got charter prices from several different companies and it ain't cheap. It cost about $4000, this is because we need two drivers. Each driver can only drive 6 hours or something like that in a day and this trip is a little under 7 hours. Plus the fact that we have to get them a hotel room. But another company was gonna be a little more lienant and go to about $3500. Let me know so we can get this going......

I've always kind of wondered just why the supporter groups got stuck in a corner. Aren't these the folks that are REALLY into the game and actually want to see everything that's going? Why not have them in the center someplace? I would guess it's because the facility doesn't want the other people around them and probably don't want the hassle from these "hooligans", but it's really kind of sad that the "organized" supporters of their team are stuck in the corner.

I'm basing this off of what was said above w/ the Loyalists being in E32 and our KICK BUTT supporters stuck in 128.

Who knows...I probably just don't get it.

Oh yeah, I should be heading to SLC to support my boys. Not sure if it will be me and the family or me with a Class A motor home all to myself =) I could potentially carry a couple extra cats if the wife and kiddos don't want to make the trip.

Part of it is the cost of center line seating (corners are generally cheaper than all other seats that AREN'T behind the goals), part of it is the ability (not necessarily in all cases) to be near the player's tunnel, and part of it is the complaints from the folks who paid good money for their tickets and can't see because the "rowdy bunch" are standing and singing and generally being a nuisance.

Yeah, these are all the reasons pretty much. I dont mind being in the corner that much, its alright. We tried to move sections at one of the first games we went to, to correspond with the goal the Rapids were shooting on, but we got booted for being too loud. We then made a scene, complaining that Bronco fans get treated better and they dont like us because we are having fun and they(event staff)cant and other stupid points which lead to the boot from the ground altogether. Personally, those 15 people or so who were sitting in the middle who were offended, probably never spent another $10 to go see the Rapids, nor paid any heed to the team at all. But, lets make THEM feel welcome!

i was in N21 for the first half and W9 for the second half

N21 was bleachers, and full of drunk fratboys

W9 was seats and full of people who get annoyed that people yell at stadiums

i don't really like fratboys or annoyed middle americans. either way, i'll be there. probably drive, but it doesn't matter what the section is, so long as i'm there and able to hang a few banners. :D
