Ahh brought a tear to my eye... Yes hopefully it is championship. Any Idea how much Bellamy is looking for? 7 million pounds? The question will celtic have any money left in the cofers?

I await with interest the amount of money O'Neill will be allowed close season, I certainly hope we could afford Belamy (I think Newcastle are looking for 6 m, I'm sure we could get that reduced. If he decides to remain with us..BIG if) and a couple of other players in as well, maybe not in the same price range.

I doubt Bellamy wants to stay in the SPL. He'll probably go to Blackburn.

While I agree that he is a prick... If Celtic fail to sign him who in there right mind is going to give Celtic a look? I do not understand footballer's metallity that the EPL is the greatest league and that playing in this league means your better than any other league? I mean who wants to play for a club who outside the top three has any chance of winning anything in Europe? I am sorry are you going to get more fame and money in the EPL? Yes but as we can see not playing for the top three there is basically just no chance for hardware. I hear talk that Money and Fame is not what Bellamy is looking for that he wants Europen ball and hardware? I guess in a couple of weeks we will see if it is just smoke and mirriors. :mad:

The SPL is just not attractive to any player that can go to one of the better leagues, who wants to travel to Inverness on a Wednesday night mid November? (No insult directed at Inverness who have beaten us there) The poor state our league is in, would IMO, not be overcome by guaranteed euro games for the talented footballers I'm afraid.

Bellamy to my worry may just confirm the above comment.
