Indeed...that's what's happening.

I downloaded some reports off the net (in Word) and have been using them for several days but for some reason - today they are not working.
It puts up the message that word has encountered a problem and needs to shut down etc etc.
The files are rich text but as I say - I've been using these for a few days with no problems.

Anyway - is there someway of sorting this out as this is a major pain in the backside. I have 2 reports due by early next week and I could have easily done without this.

Thanks

If you're desparate to open them quickly you should be able to see them in Wordpad, a built in program to Windows. Start -> Programs -> Accessories

If its like that for all files there are a few things you can do. Detect and Repair from Help menu is often the most effective.

Y'know there are times when I feel like i real retard...this is one of them. I hadn't even thought about opening them in wordpad.
It works fine there. Great for now.

Thanks.
