I mean the sponsor for one, WALON...I think Nike or Adidas would look way better on the shirts. Schitt, I think the players would be inspired to even play better. What you guys think, and who would be your sponsor of choice?

I have always wanted them to have an Adidas jersey like they used to in the 70's. But I think thats the last of their worries.

Adidas or Umbro would look sweet...if we would be sponsored by Adidas then our kit would look just like Guatemala's but with a red instead of blue stripe.

I dont know, something tells me even like Fila on the shirt would make it look sweeter. I was looking at jerseys earlier. Even like Colombia, and ecuador changed their style. I'm not sure how long Colombia had Lotto for, but it looks alright. Ecuadors shirt looks ok, I guess, but its a marathon so forget that. Didnt Alianza Lima have Fila as a sponsor. I'm sure NT couldve made a deal.

Not exactly...the River Plate jersey has the vertical stripe starting on the other shoulder.

For some reason the Walon jerseys look heavy to me. Of course my preference would be Adidas but I wouldn't mind if Umbro or Puma were to make the Peru jersey, they have some nice designs.

The walon jersy is heavy compared to the adidas, I own both and the Adidas one is really light, also prettier...

I had an uncle ship the NT jersey to me last year... if the real jerseys are made of the same polyester material as the replica then we should find another brand ASAP. When I played a game it felt itchy and thick compared to my other Adidas kits which have the clima cool tech. The quality is pretty bad, shame on walon for selling crappy materials.

Forget adidas, river got that. I prefer nike or pumas, they look cool also.

In defense of your national team "camiseta" I think it's classy. I think the design itself holds Peru by itself in the international football stage. I'm not sure as to the origin of that diagonal stripe, but only Peru has it on their national shirt and every educated football fan will know it's Peru when they see it...kind of like Holland's unique color "orange" ... there's something you can't take away from having a unique jersey.

Now as for the maker, sometimes it's better not to subjugate yourself to the monopoly of Adidas or Nike. I'm not sure if there's much merit to the material of the shirt having influence on the performance of players.

Well I'm sure the bigger name brands make the technical fabrics and lighter jerseys. I surely believe it could improve performance. As already mentioned, the walon brand seemed kind of heavy and with all the sweat even heavier. As for the stripe, no way thats a Peruvian logo. But I've heard people confuse river plate jersey for peru and vice versa. So I have to ask, who had the stripe first?

Very good point... Peru has arguably the easiest recognizable shirt in National teams. Unique, and beautiful. But it's not like we wan't to change the design, just the quality.

I'm pretty sure River had it first.

It would look something like the current Ajax home jerseys with the colors inverted.
