Building a SPL compliant stadium and now into division 2, shame that. Sometimes go up there and watch when there is no tic game on.

Looks like we'll be seeing Partick next season, at least they'll bring a decent support. I hate the second division

Bigger crowds in the second than the first ?

Last season that was the case. Morton had better crowds than nine of the clubs in Division One, if I'm not mistaken.
The same thing might happen again. If Livi go down, then I think only St. Mirren would get more fans through the gates than us on a regular basis, and maybe one other club if they start strongly.
Edit: That said, I think both ours and Partick's gates will suffer next season. A lot of fans here are losing patience and won't be back for yet another season in the Deliverance League :) I'll still be there, but I hear a lot of disillusionment from the stands...

I may see you at some games then....if the Champions elect are not playing or Pollok.
Surely it's pointless playing football if there are no fans to watch it, it's what the game is all about. I still say part of the reorganisation of SPL in to incorporate the biggest supported teams.....we going to allow Gretna to work their way up financed by a sugar daddy and no fans while teams like Thistle gradually loose support because of lack of cash...suicide for Scottish Football

The main problems are a lack of interest, lack of competiveness and overpricing. Sort these key problems out and the fans will come.

A fair point, and one a lot of Morton fans (who are currently watching three-auld-men-and-a-dug-Stranraer-FC outperform us - and deservedly so, might I add) would not disagree with. But at the same time, football's about what happens on the pitch. If we just make it about the crowds and the financial bottom line, as the SPL originally tried to, we run the risk of making the game stagnant.

As opposed to what "dead"
New league for the big crowd teams
Shared gate money
Goverment built min 10,000 seater (More if the clubs contribute)
We need to bite the bullet on this, we are being soothed this season because the OF have went backwards and it looks a wee bit more competitive. The answer is in the the SPL taking the initiative AND I mean the majority of the SPL.
Otherwise teh OF might get their wish (Not mine) and get into the EPL (Or somewhere in the English leagues) because the SPL has died.

It is the Old Firm to blame for the current state of Scottish football. As such, they should shoulder the responsibility instead of trying to run away from their mess.
