It's chance based on skill rating of players involved. The kicker's accuracy to deliver to spot; strength heading skills of player receiving, skills of defenders, etc..

I dont know about the PC but I always use the Analouge Stick on the PS2.

For corner kicks pick "driven", then press the player in the center to receive the ball. The move your player away from the spot where the red circle on your opponent is marked. Now that you're totally away from your opponent, wait for the corner kick meter to run out and for your player to deliver the corner kick. Then you run towards the spot and press the shoot button and he'll head it in! Works 95% of the time against the computer, I guarantee it.

I'll second this. I've only ever had success choosing the "driven" option. Anything else just ends up in the keeper's hands.

I have it for Xbox, it's freakin hard.
I don't think it's possible to beat the CPU on world class.
Any hints on how I should go about practicing?

Can anyone tell me how to stop losing to my 11-year-old son? Score is usually 0-4, 1-5, etc. That's with him playing some Italian 2nd division club and me playing the English National Team. Lampard sucks, that's all I've got to say.

Tie his right hand behind his back that way he can only run around the pitch and not push any buttons to kick or pass, LOL!!!! I feel ya man, I have 4 and 6 year old boys, it's only a matter of time before they start kicking my butt as well.
SE MO eh? I went to school in Kirksville, MO (NEMO), now Truman State? Small world.
