What confrontation do you most want to see in the next World Cup?
Brazil vs Argentina - the world's greatest classic in the world's greatest stage;
Brazil vs Germany - defending champions vs home team, the two biggest winners of the game meeting again;
Argentina vs Turkey - a potential heated game due to the characteristics of both teams;
England vs Argentina - nothing like the good old WC historic matchup again;
Brazil vs Greece - the clash of two opposing philosophies of football;
USA vs Mexico - the continuing saga of the CONCACAF rivalry;
USA vs England - to finally put an end to the mother of all debates in BS;
Brazil vs Holland - attacking football vs attacking football;

Are the any games involving Italy that you would like to mention?
Italy vs Germany could be one or a rematch of Italy vs South Korea.

Some weird choices there. You include a nothing game like Arg v Turkey but not England v Germany, whats up with that.
There isnt an England fan in the world who cares about faceing USA in a WC, if it happens it happens, we got them in a friendly anyway, and what is this debate i hear you speak?
How about Czech Rep v Holland (the rematch from euro 2004) that would be great

AUS v ENG.
That should end all the ENG bullsh!t about "meaningless friendlies", like after losing 1-3 to AUS in the last game played.
Now this would be some matchup, knowing how much us Aussies love to play against the Pommies, at national team level in ANY sport.

Wow, Brazil vs. Argentina in the semi or final will almost be unbearable to watch.
It will be a scary duel. Imagine supremacy claims in one of the worlds most football crazy continents.
I don't think Argentina will put a good fight this time around. Brazil has a monstrous offence.

I wouldn't get too cocky in advance if I were you Andy :D
I think you'll find that if were to play in a WC then the English players would be just as up for the game as your lads.

I beg to differ. Argentina always puts up a fight against the Selecao- sometimes literally. They don't play the most beautiful football, but they'll shoulder barge, push, and generally use ugly (but legal) tactics to compete.

How about a rematch of 38, 70, 78, 82, and 94--Italy
vs. Brazil? They've historically fought to a stalemate,
each having five wins, five losses, and two draws. And
except for in 94 the action is amazing . . .
I'd also love to see Holland vs. Germany again.

Brazil - Argentina

This is good too just as Brazil VS. Germany or Brazil VS Holland. However, I don’t think these will l be as emotionally charged as Brazil vs. Argentina. To me Argentina VS England, Brazil VS Turkey, Cameroon VS Germany(The old colonizers vs. the oppressed is a grudge match. It burned me when Cameroon lost last time) and US vs Mexico is becoming an intense rivalry for us here in North America.

Oh, another one I missed will be Japan vs South Korea.

Also, Japan vs China. No matter what stage this is played there is always flag waving, chest beating involved here, with people dressed in old warrior costumes. What a match-up. If only the Chinese were good enough.

You know that AUS would be super fired-up on this one.
Perhaps the Pommies shouldn't be so cocky, either. :D

Argentina vs. England
This will be a great match up.
Not too excited about Argentina vs. Brazil. They are both from COMMEBOL and play against each other in several tournaments. I do grant that most of those match ups don't have the best players.

Brazil and the Argies did not meet in world cup, more than twice as far as I know. (could be wrong as I have not researched it)
England/Argentina, Italy/Brazil, have crossed roads in world cup more compared say to Argentina/Brazil, Germany/Brazil.
Brazil vs Argentina is a killer match-up. It will be war. The one thing I like about this match up is that not only will it be about results it will also be who puts the best show.
