Geez, read soccernet much? You guys criticize when he "doesn't see things" and now criticize when he's saying you deserve the title.

Anyway....I'll beat the Mother's Day rush at the malls and say...congratulations on a good match yesterday and the impending title. It is certainly deserved.

My SINCEREST apologies, yoss - I just popped on here all quick-like, and wasn't sure if Feroze Ali meant to include a link.

You lot give Jose (and Rui too) hell, and I'll continue to give Magoo Wenger stick. It's just how the cards are dealt. ;)

Edit: Well lookie here... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/4459301.stm

Happy Thursday indeed. ;)

Well....I was gonna say...."I know you guys aren't used to winning anything but you should really start learning to be gracious about it...." but then I thought that might be considered bad form. ;)

Heh, well... there are a few DC area Gooners (not on BS that I am aware of) that are going to get ENDLESS ******** from me, because they were such bastards to me and other DC Blues earlier in the season.

Gracious in victory? Naw. Save that for the ladies. ;)

Mmehh, I just can't generate the same level of contempt for Chelsea (or Mourinho for that matter...check my record) that I can for certain other northern clubs. Chelsea plays football and defends incredibly well without kicking the stuffing out of people. I respect that even if I'm not pleased with the end result this year.

Understood - and most would agree with you I'm sure. That's why I clarified to explain it was just the DC area **************s, as opposed to all Gooners I have run into.

Except fot that one who really seems to hate Duffer... ;)

There's a lot of pressure on you if your father has a ska song named after him.

Actually, I generally find fans of that northern club to be the annoyance. They're so used to success that many of them (not all!, but many) tend to get incredibly annoying when something doesn't go their way. What amazes me is the unwillingness of most United fans I know to agree their players might not be the best, or that another team's first choice XI might be better.

I've even seem some posting in the aftermath of the Everton match yesterday saying that Ronaldo did not dive and complaining as to why Neville got sent off for deliberately kicking a ball into the crowd.

My favorite in the wake of the Everton loss was this: I'd rather be 4 down and a United supporter, thank you very much. All this adversity we're facing now on and off the pitch builds team/fan character.

All this adversity. In third place by a mile and a loss at the 4th place side with a huge transfer kitty and the final of the FA Cup still to come. That's "adversity"?

Give fans of that northern club a chance is my suggestion. They had been misled and steroid-fed for far too long by the bottomline watcher$ and that crude-and-brash one.

At the start of this season, I forecasted the last crude/brash would past his sell-off date this season and the possibility is still very much alive, come May 21st.

It is heartening to know there are true gladiator managers/coaches, encouraging true entertaining football. They make such great complimentary comments where/when they are due instead of crude elementary remarks from the north. We are on course to witness the becoming of a truly world class football league. Although I may not like the word colonising but, England can go ahead and colonise the world again, albeit with the English game and lots of multi nationals.

May the wish of football romantics/purists like me come true? X’mas looks possible in May and you can bet I will stop using the synonym “afmu” from my postings.

:) Cheers!
