What? I almost started this thread a week ago. Why not?

We'll have:

..............Dida/Gomes/Fábio
Daniel.....Álex...Edu Dracena/Felipe...Random left-back
.........Rochemback......Dudu Cearense
..................Diego
..............................Ronaldinho Gaúcho
...........Robinho....Adriano

or:

...............Dida/Gomes/Fábio
.......Álex....Edu Dracena....Felipe
Daniel.........Rochemback.......Dudu Cearense
.........Diego..............Ronaldinho Gaúcho
........Robinho........Adriano

Of course, by then we might also have Kerlon and all we have to do is let him balance the ball on his head and walk it into the goal. By 2014 though that will be outlawed... so we'll have to come up with something new.

If we can go forward in time, why not go back?

Can anybody beat Brazil in 1966?

Can anybody beat Brazil in 1982?

If you look at their lineup, you'd say, 'Probably not.'

BTW: Don't forget the USA has a plan to win the WC in 2010.

Also add 1998... in which case France and Norway could. Holland, Denmark and Scotland :o almost did as well.

haha ya it was all zidanes fault that brazil fell in 98. as far as USa is concerned, ya i would hope eddie johnson would hit his climax in the 06 world cup, rather than aiming for a 2010 win or something. we want it now!

Well my point is this... Brazil certainly have the quality to take 2006 but they must be careful to avoid a deja vu of 1998. Brazil's 98 side was apparently much better than the team that won the tournament in 94 and was supposedly the best team in the world at the time but a mile. Players like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Roberto Carlos being amongst the best at their respective positions during that time. But for some reason, it never really clicked like it should of. Despite the controversey surrounding the final, Brazil had had a lot of unexpected difficulty getting there in the first place (ie Holland, Denmark, Norway, etc.) So my point is, yes - they certainly have to quality to win even more convincingly in 2006 than in 2002 but as we've seen before, things don't always go as smoothly as they should.

I am totally unbiased when it comes to national teams. I cheer for USA, but if they played for brazil, i would cheer for brazil to win at least 3-0 with spectacular skills. same thing for argentina, england, holland, and even though not spectacular, Italy.
that said, I can say without a doubt brazil is #1 team (im not juss copyin fifa rankins)

every player come from strong teams in major leagues..
real madrid barcelona ac milan inter milan bayern munich fc porto(fabiano)
lyon (juninho)

brazil vs england 2006 world cup final beckham vs ronaldo ronaldinho vs lampard adriano vs owen/rooney I can't wait!!!
