Apparently a Polish soccer player named David Topolski is practicing with DC United. None of us DC United supporters know anything about him other than what's reported on the DC United website. I was hoping that someone on the board might know something more. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thats correct. Hes a midfielder and plays on the Polish U19 team. In the U19 European Championships in Group 2, in 3 games he started in 1 match and scored 1 goal against Croatia.
I just googled David, and was happily surprised to find this! David's father is Adam Topolski, who played for the Pittsburgh Spirit (in the John Kowalski/Stan Terlecki years), and now coaches a Polish team. David was born in the US while they were here, and maintains dual citizenship. The last time I saw him play was about 5 years ago, and he was better than any of the Riverhounds!
