While I was checking out some threads from a year ago, I came across this one on Thunder in the Distance. (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112410) I would think that this should be a subject to think about every year around this time, jsut as a reminder - I particularly like what Mutinywxgirl had to say.

Two things I got from a presentation at an advanced clinic:
1. If you can hear thunder then you're too close. You don't have to see the lightning.
2. Lightning can strike from over 10 miles away.
