So who went? I was there at the meadowlands, what a f'in atmosphere. It was a great time. I remember them passing that huge Peru flag over me and the crowd, the energy was unreal. I never experienced a soccer game like that. Sorry to sound corny, but just had a flashback, lol. First time I saw the national team play, and can wait till they come back. I believe the turn out was good enough for them to come back.

Yeah, I was there... right where the chanting, singing and jumping and where the giant flag was being held... hmm come to think of it you, you were probably next to me.
Anyways, great game... but the game against mejico was a whole lot better.
I can't wait to have another Peru NT game in New Jersey. It's always a good atmosphere because of all the Peruvians there.

Yeah, I heard that mexico game was good as well. We actually dominated them I heard. Next friendly in Jersey, I say we get a BIGSOCCER section.

Yeah, definately more than just an even game, we dominated in many instances, definately deserved at least a tie.
Anyways, I don't think we'll have a friendly in New Jersey anytime soon. If they do, then of course i'll be there.

I was there too. I made the trip from Va. I got pics with the players and thier autographs. I even called Peru 'cause, it was my brother's birthday, some of the players wished him happy birthday. Memories ;)
Yeah, next time the NT comes let's get together. Maybe for the despedida del Puma. jeje
I can bring a bombo. jeje

I was there for the 2-2 with Ecuador in June of what? Two years ago already?
I was there in 1997, if I remember, Alianza Lima took on the MetroStars with the return of Tab Ramos. :D
That makes two trips for me just to see some Peruvian futbol and to enjoy a few rubias and ceviche.

I was there too... Where excactly didi youu sit?? I also sat in the Peruvian section with the huge flag over us!
I got pretty drunk.(SOME GUY IN THE PARKING LOT SOLD US SOME BEER ;) )I remember we were all standing on the seats and the Whole Row Behing Me Collapsed and everyone fell on top of us...remember that. And I also remember that the security were all over us, and one of them got "Messed-up" by one of the drunk fans.....That was probably the toughest job the security has ever had in Giants Stadium. :D
Remember the chant....

that argentina match was real fun. i also had fun at the ecuador game.
but i had the most fun at the mex game. we got beer tossed on us throughout the match. i don't think i sat at all during the game...i was there with 12 or 13 heads...
when the fights broke out on the field and in the stands, wifey calls me to make sure my a$$ wasn't causing trouble.
on my way out, i saw some peruanos and mexes duking it out. i also remember seeing a mex all bloodied up, with his green jersey half-ripped off. what a night that was!
in the summer of 2001, i remember going to see alianza beat the crap out of cd aguila of el salvador with la foquita netting a pair. AL was originally supposed to play america de cali...i think we got like 30K for that one.

I also went to that match!(Peru-Mejico). That was a great match... We scored before I even got a chance to sit down! I didn't see much fights, except on the field.
