Scheduled for May 24, 2005 in Oslo, Norway.

This game should be very interesting. Both sides are capable of being really good, but both are also capable of playing terrible as well. Each side had disappointing WCQ matches lately, draws to Moldova (Norway) and Trinidad & Tobago (Costa Rica). Hopefully this match will be a chance to get both teams back into good form for their tough matches in June against Italy (Norway) and the United States (Costa Rica).

So good luck to Costa Rica, hopefully both nations will be seeing each other again... next summer in Germany. :D

Solskjær is still injured and Flo has recently "retired" from international football :(

We are playing Estonia in a few days and this is the lineup we are brining, I suspect we'll field a similar team against Costa Rica. For some reason Carew, Lundekvam, Iversen, and Riise are not in that lineup, and they are the main stars for Norway, but I would imagine at least a few of them will be there to play Costa Rica.

In Late May.... should be decent.

Here is Olso's Weather (http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/NOXX0029.html). It is suppose to be in the 50s throughout the week. Which is decent, I'd probably wear a t-shirt in it, and given a month to get warmer it should be around 60-70 for the match, which is pretty nice IMO.

I met a guy from Norway and i made him say this

costa Rica kommer til a vinne mot Norge!

It is supposed to mean that CR is gonna win....

I feel Norway willl win like 3-1 or something...hopefully i am wrong and CR surprises Escandinavia!

Was it a friendly or WCQ game?

costa rica wil play that game without the players of Saprissa, PerezZeledon and the other finalist of the local toutnament cause they'll be playing the CCC final and the local championship final too

I don't think Costa Rica national team is that good right now, the last time around, during the 2002 qualifying, costa rica had a very good team in my opinion, when the guy who is the manager of sapprissa now, still playing, i forgot his name i think was Medfrod or something, but he is really good, he should still be playing right now.

A friendly, in Estonia though.

Next WCQ is June 4 vs Italy.

I have a bad feeling about this game, we'll be missing a lot of starters, all the players from PZ and the other finalist (either alajuela or Saprissa), and that is almost half of the team....

I'm still not sure on the lineup Norway will use. We have a crucial match vs Italy on June 4 (if we lose we are pretty much out of the World Cup) so no one is sure if we'll be playing our main players to get them ready for Italy, or if we'll play backups to rest the main players and avoid getting them injured. It'll be interesting to see what type of lineup we have.

We have to remember though, it is just a friendly. Although I would like to see Paulo Wanchope vs Claus Lundekvam. :D

Interesting match, should result in a good game, both teams needing to produce quality results in their next WC Qual. Match. Unfortunatly I am rooting for Italy as they are my favorite European side and I have been following them closely for the last 10-12 years. But wither way good luck to Norway vs. Italy

If anyone can, after the game is played can a match summary be given, would like to know how both squads played.

Believe it or not...I think Wanchope sucks...his time is over, and IMO, he shouldn't be called for the national team. But considering that (mostly in Costa Rica) the same players keep being called over and over despite their current level, I have the feeling he'll get called for the Ntl team again.

And since Alajuela and not Saprissa were the ones who qualified for the local tournament final, that means that Saprissa players will participate...right?...

If so, then we could send a little more competitive team by sending a lot of players from Saprissa than the team that would have been made up with players from Alajuela as the teams base... :D

I speak some Swedish and I know 'mal' is 'goal' so that's the number of goals scored and I believe 'kamper' refers to the number of caps but that's a guess.
