Well, Les Goons are playing well as expected.

We've gone 4-3-3 it seems, with Lolo pushing Mendy in the centre and creating a much more adventrous attack with Ljubo and Rothen just behind Pauleta.

I suppose, we will try and nick one and go to 4-4-2 if possible.

Nice FK by Juninho.

Well, we're dominating yet down a goal at Half. The damn counter attack cost us. Coupet had a hand on the ball but it wasnt enough.

Well if it is possible to be beaten by a single person, we were today. Alonzo single handedly beat Lyon and saved the Paris defence on numerous occasions.

Cost of ticket - 30 euros

Cost of club scarf - 5 euros

Cost of TGV ticket - 25 euros

Cost of pre-match pint and hot-dog - 5 euros.

Getting raped for 90 mins, and inflicting a first home defeat on the champions elect in their own backyard....?

Priceless.

I saw this game on FOX and 2 times the announcer refered to Rothen as "Jeremy Rothen" and he also refered to Armand as "Stefan Armand". Please fire this clown. He ruined an otherwise exciting game for me.

If he said;

Parees Saint Germain

He deserves to be shot.

We are Paree San Germain....

yeah the clown that does the french ligue 1 matches sucks. they just used the guy with the least amount of knowledge of French and used him. Apparently PSG plays at the Park Prins

Even though we say Parees, when we talk about the city. When English commentators refer to the team its always Paree San Germain. They always use the French version.

The guys at Eurosport are a different class though. They can properly prononce all the players names, of all the correctly pronounced european teams.

Jerome Rothen for instance. Jay-roh-m. Rot-an.

Seriously, if I heard what you are hearing, I would be calling in to the station and complaining. Its unproffesional. You have to learn how to say the names properly or at leats how they are commonly understood.

The thing just reeks of lack of knowledge or understading of the game. Pathetic.

It did not happen in one day as far as French names are concerned (British commentators). But, it's true they achieved something really valuable now.

Yeah of course, but next to Americans, its not exactly a joke. Given the exponent of European coverage on our screens for years and those regular booze trips to Calais - I can safely say they are much better than our American counterparts who fail miserablely to even pronouce such easy names like Nantes and Lille correctly.

Even a basic attempt with cause for silent endings an nasal vowels will do.

Maybe we should offer booze trips in Cognac, Chablis or Bordeaux for American sports reporters too.

"youuuu know, Mike [hips] I'm pwet... no... pretty shhhure [hips] zat, thish [burp] galko... golpi... kolpicker.... golk-wossname is Hal Onzo, I'm abshotullty [hips] poshitiv'bout thish...." :)
