well, dunseth scored the game winning goal so that certainly helped his case. after the LA game i think a lot of people questioned his defensive effort so he stepped it up a notch for the colorado game. i was impressed with his play. the defense really needs to get the ball to the midfield however, too much screwing around with the ball. o brien didnt get into this match so i wasnt able to see much of him. hopefully he gets some time. im sure he will with nats call ups eventually.

This was Dunseth's first game back from injury. He didn't play last week.

I was disappointed in O'Brien last week, where he took arguably the worse corner kick in MLS history. But to be fair, everyone on RSL had a bad game that night. However Ellinger might think less of Leighton now, since he signed another mid this past week.

Dunseth has been outstanding and I think he made a big difference on Saturday in the defense (scoring the goal didn't hurt either). I think Dunseth will remain a starter on the team.

"RSL will have an interesting time in practice this week with Kreamalmeyer, Fitzpatrick and Evan Whitfield all competing for the start against Dallas.
"It's going to be a very competitive week," Ellinger said. "

Brian Dunseth is doing very well... he dominates play in the air. An excellent addition to the team. We are glad to have him.

Leighton O'Brien hasn't seen a lot of first team action. When he has he has not been impressive. However, Coach Ellinger insists he is the best pure finisher on the team.
