Who would you pick to be on the Toronto MLS team if they were to play now and what would the name be? I think it was the Toronto Blizzards..........

The only player there worth considering is De Rosario,
Stalteri is still playing in Europe and will continue to do so,
Onstad.....i hope you're joking....he's useless.

Realistically, players like Stalteri, De Guzman, Klukowski, Brennan and others in top tier European leagues will not come back to play for a Toronto MLS club until the tail end of their careers.

For Stalteri and Brennan, we're talking 5-6 years from now. De Guzman and Klukowski wouldn't even consider it for another 10 years. The pay scale is simply MUCH higher in Europe, just ask Olivier Occean.

I found these comments kind of amuzing from 2005. If Toronto were to get an MLS team, who would play for them??? I just wish more people would have responded!

True enough. Onstad is still one of the top goalkeepers in MLS and proved himself all over again for Canada at the Gold Cup.

He's still the best of our current drop of goalkeepers as far as I'm concerned.

Boy am I glad that Brennan had a real desire to come home.

Now let's get Stalteri over here as well! :D

If someone wants to dig, there was a much more involved discussion on this in the TFC expantion forum. When I finish work tonight, I'll have a look for it...unless someone finds it first.
