WHAT COUNTRY.....OR WHAT CONTINENT FOR THAT MATTER ...DO U BELIEVE WIIL HOST/CO-HOST THE NEXT AVAILABLE PINNACLE OF SPORT?

AFTER FIFA PRESIDENT SEPP BLATTER FAMOUSLY ANNOUNCED THAT FIFA WOULD B ROTATING THE EVENT BETWEEN CONTINENTS......ITS SEEMS THEY HAVE LEFT MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS AND PLENTY OF ROOM FOR INTERPRETATION.

ALL OPINIONS R WELCOME AS WELL AS ARGUMENTS FOR AND AGAINST

NOW TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE PREVIOUS WORLD CUPS ASWELL AS THE 2006/2010/2014 CAMPAIGNS,THE POSSIBILTY OF AUSTRALIA OR EVEN THE ENTIRE OCEANA CONFEDERATION BEING MERGED INTO ASIAN CONFEDERATION,NOT TO MENTION THE POLITICS OF FIFA ITSELF............I AM BECOMING INCREASINGLY CONVINCED THAT THE 2018 WILL TAKE PLACE IN CHINA......AUSTRALIA ALSO BECOMES ONE OF THE STRONGEST POSSIBILITIES TO ME.

I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO HEAR OTHERS OPINIONS ON THIS SUBJECT :rolleyes:

FIFA has never had two consecutive tournaments out of Europe. 2010 and 2014 will be the first time. I expect 2018 in merry old England.

2018 and 2022...

One will be in Europe and the other will be in the US.

Using 1974 as a cycle for Europe:

74 Germany
82 Spain
90 Italy
98 France
06 Germany

I'd say this rules out France and Germany from hosting a World Cup in 2018 or 2022. Italy is a marginal option since it has been a long time, but only 2 other countries in between cups? Who would be a realistic choice to get the nod from UEFA to host the World Cup? England would have to be one of the two or three options.

Next time it is in Europe then England would have to be a front runner as all the other countries with the obviously capability to host it will have done so since England last did. Germany twice.

2010: (CAF) South Africa...
2014: (CONMEBOL) most likely Brazil...
2018: (CONCACAF) USA always the front runners... hopeuly Canada will have FIFA approved venues for a World Cup hosting...
2022: (AFC) at the moment, Japan, South Korea and China are the best ones for such an event... but who knows by then...
2026: (UEFA) by this time, more countries will surely have the funds to host this competition.

if the event does go to a different federation/continent each time, then it will be back to each of these continents every 20 years.

The confederation rotation idea blows IMO. Europe should get more as there are more countries there and it is the continents no1 sport.

Neither country has stadiums that are big enough, and unless someone is prepard to fork out billions of euros building stadiums that will never be filled once the cup is over, they won't get them either.

didn't Holland/Belgium host Euro 2000? i REALLY doubt they are going to be hosting anything major again for a long time.

i, personaly, like the idea of going around each term. it's a sign of unity and nobody's excluded. some serious "Fair Play". ok, so Europe has the majority of the better funded nations to host the WC, it doesn't mean they are the only countries able to host.

if u want to a watch a major tournament in which u will enjoy Europe hosting every term, wait every 4 years to watch the UEFA EURO!!!
