Saw today in the Ubahn that Schalke signed a deal with the brewer Veltins for the naming rights to Arena auf Schalke until 2015, dont know how much it was worth though....

The arena is the arena that has already been there, but now they just sold the rights to the name, here is an article in English

Personally, I don't mind this at all....Veltins has been a sponsor for Schalke for some time already.

In Germany it has not been normal to sell the stadium's name to a company, but in the last 3 years more and more stadiums has got a new name.
I dont't like it because the commercial influence in soccer becomes bigger and bigger.

I think so, but it's another way to get money for them.

But I really don't like it.

I can understand. But at least your club went with one of it's traditional sponsors........

Yes.

I've heard D...mund will go the same way.

But not the sponsor.
